Scan date 16/02, called today and was told the same as Monday that it’s with the DM but it’s been there for 2 weeks so far , he said I should find out soon 🙃

Hey, I’m 16/2 too, I’m not sure if I’m going to call after lunch or just wait until Monday, but I will keep you updated

Aussielover · 07/06/2024 10:41

@DMc87 hi, when you say multiple people, like who? Please I'm only asking as I'm same boat as u x also is your child diagnosed x upsetting when they decline part x

wonderfullife1 · 07/06/2024 10:45

We have just done, parental interview last week, and the play-based assessment for Autism this morning. They will all get together, and along with the report from school, they will give a report and recommendations which will take a few weeks.

I dont think it will be done in time to send off as extra evidence. If we get rejected or lower Rate care, will it be worth doing MR. I feel we was abit light when we sent the forms off, and if we did it again, it would be alot more details

His carer/PA wrote a statement specifying the distances he can walk and explaining they have to constantly stop for rests on outings, also his auntie wrote explaining he has to be carried to get anywhere (he is 9 and not light), and his consultant mentioned his mobility being limited too. I heard VUW was hard to get, but I thought I had enough to prove it here 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was going to wait but my husband said to call and see. I’m hoping it’s soon though. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you !! 🤞🏼

Summy24 · 07/06/2024 11:21

I rang this morning using 523 got straight through. I was told my son was awarded middle rate, back pay was processed Wednesday and there’s a letter in the post. Obviously happy I’ve had the decision. My scan date was 15/02

Garfield456 · 07/06/2024 11:25

You called yesterday? Phone lines don't open until 9am. Call at 9am, say that UC have said they need to know the award so they can start processing the disabled child element, can they please let you know what it is.

I rang again today call answered after 5 mins then told no information could be shared so asked too be directed too someone who could and within mins I was and had my whole claim explained

Mummyof6love · 07/06/2024 11:33

Scan date 21/02. So on the 15 week mark now. Called this morning-went through more than usual security questions to be told about the 20 weeks and he couldn’t tell me if it was with a DM or not. Nice guy just not helpful. Asked if it was with a DM and he said he doesn’t have that information. Juts gonna hold out till next week.
He did ask about my bank details-it this just a standard question for all or am I being hopeful in the fact that he asked because its being awarded?

Iv had a lovely d.m call me just now. Regarding my daughters MR. He wanted to ask some questions regarding her mobility. He told me that he is changing her award from middle care to high care and low mobility. And that id get a letter next week. Im soooo glad this is finally over. Oct 23 she was diagnosed and its been a battle 😬. Im now waiting for @Matilde08 and few others to get their award/MR outcome 💖

So happy for you and your baba! And glad you didn't have to wait too long for the MR! 😊 xx

My scan date was march 22nd and I recieved a text today saying my daughter qualified and a letter is in the post I should recieve it in ten days . I then phoned up and asked what rate she was on and they refused too tell me anything about the claim over the phone . Has anyone else rang and asked and been told no ? Strange

What area do you live in?. I'm thinking certain areas are getting through claims quicker than others.. congratulations also 😊

Izzypri · 07/06/2024 12:01

Did you call up before this or was it your first time?
