How long does it roughly take for you to receive your first letter saying they’ve got your claim ? I’ve not had anything yet just over 2 weeks since sending the form back thanks in advance x

Hi everyone. My scan date was 15/02 so far had the standard “we’ve received your application” letter. Last Friday I got a text saying still being looked at no need to call. I actually haven’t called the entire time however I’m getting abit anxious time so I think I’ll call tomorrow. Anyone have any idea how long from the text until a decision is made pls?

19/03 what week does this make me anybody please? I’m super super nervous now 😬

Let me know how your call goes please, I'm 14/02 and I've only rang once just to make sure they received additional evidence, he told me it was with a decision make that was a couple weeks ago now x

Yeah they told me that at first and I asked to put a complaint in because all my letters say 13-15 weeks and they then told me third week of June and that if I haven’t heard by then to ring back thank you lovely

I'm 15/02, also had the text on Friday
I've been ringing a lot and so far have been told it's taking up to 20 weeks, but they are trying their best to do claims within 17 weeks at the moment

I sent my forms 10/5 and I’ve still not got a letter, I’ve called and told it was scanned on 21/5 but they did say there is a big backlog scanning on at the moment

It was over 3 weeks before id heard anything xx

Same date as Me and told similar today, to ring back if not heard by end of month. I'll ring again next week.

Mine was the 15/02 I got a decision today so hopefully you’ll get a decision by next week🤞🏼

Iv had a lovely d.m call me just now. Regarding my daughters MR. He wanted to ask some questions regarding her mobility. He told me that he is changing her award from middle care to high care and low mobility. And that id get a letter next week. Im soooo glad this is finally over. Oct 23 she was diagnosed and its been a battle 😬. Im now waiting for @Matilde08 and few others to get their award/MR outcome 💖

Hi everyone, first time posting in this thread. My scan date is 6th March ‘24. I’ve had 2 letters so far, no text.

Congrats to all recently awarded 💫

Happy to share some details: I called for the DLA form in November, had a return deadline of mid-December however went into early labour with DC2 and didn’t end up posting back until late Feb. I used the freepost method. My son has a diagnosis of ASD and GDD. I only included copy of the paeds report with his diagnosis which was multidisciplinary and includes short statements from SLT and nursery. He’s since seen OT and Ed Psyc and we now have those reports - considering calling next week to see if it’s worth adding them as fresh evidence.

I probably could have put more effort in to the form but it’s so draining. Eager to see if he will be awarded.
