Thank you.

Do you know if they pay the disabled child element for more than one child or is it just one payment per claim?
I'm so confused by it all.

Hi I get it for both my sons as I’m in receipt of dla for both , it doesn’t matter how many children you have that are in receipt of DLA they will still be entitled to the disabled child elements of universal credit hope this helps xx

Parked x @waiting1901 How are things with you? X

Hi I rang today to see if school had sent back letter yet. woman said no letter came back but a decision has been made of lrm my wee girl already gets HRC I'm happy that she got mobility but I know she qualifies under smi for hrm. School said they posted it back yesterday so DLA hadn't received it when they made decision. What do you think I should do ask for Mr or just being happy with lrm or do you think they will automatically look at it again when they receive school evidence.

Waiting1901 · 24/05/2024 23:13

How long is Mr taking does anyone know

SK2024 · 24/05/2024 23:36

Aussielover · 24/05/2024 18:37

Hi @SK2024 They definitely wouldn't have read it, they have just passed the book as you wouldn't suggest a coc with more evidence if you didn't meet the criteria else why would you entertain it.

What was your coc for ?

Currently receive MRC and LRM and have qualified for that for several years and was given an indefinite award until 16. but an incident in the last few years has led to additional care needs throughout the night so should now qualify for HRC.

It's quite disheartening but I've had to deal with these kind of things before so I'm used to the paperwork and long waits unfortunately.

Kmcx93 · 24/05/2024 23:55

SK2024 · 24/05/2024 15:05

I must have the fastest response known to man - either that or they haven't even bothered to read my COC form which I think is the most likely considering all the information and evidence I sent.

They received my COC form on the 14th May, sent me a letter dated 16th May saying they've received it and not to contact them unless i've not heard back in 11 weeks then I get another letter today dated 17th May saying they have looked at my COC form and their decision remains unchanged and current entitlement remains unchanged.

Oh well, straight onto the MR...

Have you got a renewal coming up? Or did you just need a the COC ? ** edit to say just seen your last comment!
how odd that they picked it up so fast? Good luck with the MR anyway 🍀🤞🏼

Parking. 8/3. Phoned to make sure they had extra reports I sent in and she seemed to think I wouldn’t hear back till July.

panicking now though that I haven’t put enough on the form. My daughter has quite severe dyspraxia (0.1 percentile), hyptonia and hypermobility. She’s being assessed for adhd but have nothing to show for that. I don’t think we’d be due much anyway, but it wasn’t until I filled form in that I realised how much help she needs - dressing, eating. Washing, settling to sleep. I got so frustrated with forms but now I think I’ll end up doing them again :(. What is MR please?

Aussielover · 25/05/2024 06:41

@Waiting1901 no, you don't be happy with what they awarded you because you know the criteria from online and you know your child meets the criteria, plus you can evidence it so therefore Mr.

I'm ready for Mr, haven't even been given an answer yet, but I'll appeal all of it.

I have a lot of evidence and professionals witnessing my child's behaviour.

Xx

So they must be going old school with me, making it more stressful as now i know ill probably be waiting on a letter for decision 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

Recieved the "sorry we haven't given you a decision" letter today (dated the 20th). How long after receiving this letter/text did people hear?

So many different things on waiting times too as on the letter it states upto 15 weeks, just as it did on my scan date letter, yet on the phone people are being told longer.

I'm currently 7 weeks 4 days since scan date of 02/04 so suppose I got this letter quite quickly as when it's dated I wasn't even halfway through the 15 weeks.

Your right I'll definitely do Mr for her as I know she needs it hopefully wait won't be aslong. I so hope you just get awarded and don't have to deal with Mr

Scan date 7/2/24. Got a ‘no need to contact us we’re still looking at it’ text on the 20th May, Monday just gone. Seeing that some people with scan dates later than this have been awarded already which is making me worry that ours might come back declined. 😕

No, that is not necessarily the case. Our scan date was 12/02. I have sent the ASC certificate, ASC report, school report, and the Speech and Language Therapist's report. Additionally, the SENCO from the school completed their part of the form. However, when I called, I found out that the form was not even with the decision-maker (DM).Usually, they never decline when you have a letter from the school, a diagnosis, or proof of the pathway for the diagnosis or treatments.Have you sent any of the above documents?

Aussielover · 25/05/2024 11:56

@Waiting1901 thank you love, I doubt it tho especially if they contact nursery - he's had progress and they could spoil the claim
I'll still mr and tribunal if I have to because I have footage of behaviour and it meets smi regardless of slight progress

Thanks — yes I’ve sent her diagnosis and report. I don’t have a letter from the school as she’s home ed but I’ve sent a letter from her SEND club in the part where you can add info from someone who knows your child well.

I also haven't had any text from them, just had 2 letters sent. Last letter same as what you got and I'm still waiting for a decision.
I am 9 weeks now.

I haven't called so don't know where my Claim is, hoping not too long because the wait is making me Anxious

Accbabymom1994 · 25/05/2024 12:13

It would help if they gave a date , I think I'd be calm because I'd know it will happen on this date .

The text usually comes around 14-15 weeks, then it seems to be about 1-2 weeks for a decision from then. I’m expecting my text this Monday and when I called to check they said I should hear by the end of this month. Scan date 16/2

So the letters quicker than the text then. I won't call until 15 weeks which is like the second or third week in July so still have a wait. They seem to be all over the place with awards as I've seen some awarded from beginning of Feb, end of Feb and some March ( some priority some not)

It is a rediclious wait isn't it but also get there's only so many decision makers who can only look at so many claims a day.

My 15 weeks is July so if haven't heard anything then I'll give them a call, think it would stress me more calling to be told well you're no where near 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ atleast if I call at 15 weeks I can say we'll come on the letters say upto 15 weeks we're at that now.

Hello, parking here 👋
I sent my sons form off 11st march and they got them on the 12th march and I think my scan date is April 2nd ( that’s the date on the “ we have received your claim” letter) . Talk about SLOW!
I have Received the “ we’re sorry, we are dealing with your claim” letter today.
Happy waiting and congratulations to those awarded 🩷
