Hello, parking here 👋
I sent my sons form off 11st march and they got them on the 12th march and I think my scan date is April 2nd ( that’s the date on the “ we have received your claim” letter) . Talk about SLOW!
I have Received the “ we’re sorry, we are dealing with your claim” letter today.
Happy waiting and congratulations to those awarded 🩷

Is sent my forms 10th of may and got a letter saying "we received your forms 14/05/24 we are looking at your claim" is that my scan date ?? Xx

Mama3Girls · 25/05/2024 14:35

Parking 21/2 I called last week to see if they received extra evidence and I was told it shouldn’t be long now I should have a response by end of this month/beg of next. The wait is so long I’ve seen some on fb groups been awarded feb/march. So doesn’t seem to be in any order. Fingers crossed I sent enough in 🤞

GrannieAnnie84 · 25/05/2024 15:38

I think so x

sh5278 · 25/05/2024 19:10

Good luck, hopefully there will be a lot of awards on Tuesday 🤞 I’m 16/2 and they said to me I would hear by the end of the month, I can’t see me being awarded until the week after with there still being the week before waiting

Kita86 · 25/05/2024 21:00

Good luck to you too 🤞

Rang twice now.. both times been told to wait till 20 weeks. Very frustrating both times had a very rude call handler. I get very anxious calling so won’t be doing it again 😅
we’ve had three letters..
one to say they have our forms 01/02
2nd for birth certificate
3rd to say they are still looking at our claim
1 txt recently to say they are still looking at our claim 2 weeks ago xx

Did you call the 523 way? I think it’s the anything else option, I’ve called that way 3 times now and they are really nice and helpful, I hear the option where it says to check for updates on a child claim there not very good and rude, definitely have a go at the 523 option if you haven’t before.
just wondering has anyone else had child’s school and gp practice as there security questions before? It made me wonder if there going to be in contact with any of those before doing my claim

Hi, I think it's just random, they have asked me that and most recently asked for my bank details so just think its all random security questions, I'm 12 weeks this Wednesday, had two letters that's it. Scan date 6/3.

I’ve only had 2 letters too and I’m on week 14. I think I’m due the we’re still looking at your claim text on Monday though and I’ve been told twice I should hear a decision by the end of the month, I’m not holding my breathe on that. The security check baffled me abit because my daughter is now being homeschool and it says that on my form

Kita86 · 26/05/2024 08:21

morning I’ve found my sons education psychologist report from school and his IQ test stating he’s got IQ 57 he’s ten will be going into yr 6 soon and his report says he’s working at yr2 very behind , I’m waiting on his first claim 16 weeks now should I send them in aswell? I’ve sent his echp and autism report and salt report and teachers reports stating he’s very behind and sits in a cardboard box doing what he wants and that were considering a special high school for him

Aussielover · 26/05/2024 08:43

@Kita86 any evidence is supporting evidence. May I ask, where or how do you get an IQ test and is there a minimum age?

Scan date 7/2/24. Got a ‘no need to contact us we’re still looking at it’ text on the 20th May, Monday just gone. Seeing that some people with scan dates later than this have been awarded already which is making me worry that ours might come back declined. 😕

I have same scan date and had that text as well last Monday.
From what I see on these threads it can take up to 20 weeks and it's very random order when getting nearer the time I guess it depends how fast the allocated decision maker takes to get through the cliams and obviously some may of been priority cases as well. Try not to worry it must be getting close for us to find out I have everything crossed it's a good outcome for you ❤️ 🤞

Kita86 · 26/05/2024 08:50

Thank you yeah I think I’ll ring them tue let them know I’m sending it , it was his school who organized it they been great it was ep who came into school and did it with him and I think it’s from age 6 maybe ? I know Cahms can also sort a test out too

Newtothisnow · 26/05/2024 11:25

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how long it takes UC to verify the DLA claim and also how long it takes to pay the back pay? x

No I haven’t tried that way, I think I may need to if I don’t hear anything by the end of the week. The wait is killing me. Especially with preschool on my case for funding if he gets awarded dla. Also there seems to be no support unless he receives dla and that again has to be middle date or high rate. So frustrating but that thank you for advise.

I had also been asked doctors and school name in questions xxx

ArtfulJoker · 26/05/2024 14:37

Is it worth sending in paediatrician report (19/03 SD) its basically everything I’ve already wrote on the form but from them not myself? Will it still support what I’m saying? Or will they take my word anyway

DamitJamit · 26/05/2024 14:38

Scan date 28/2 I've seen people say they've rung and been made a priority for financial hardship. I was just wondering if this is the only reason they give priority? We're in the process of submitting evidence as to why we need to move to the housing team and they've said they will only submit it once basically. We're due another child in August so really want this sorted before.

If you don’t mind me asking how old is your son and what extra help will they give him if they have the extra dla funding? I’m waiting on a scan date for my youngest that’s at preschool she’s 3 and a half, they want to put things in places for her for September but I don’t think I would have even had a decision by the time they go back after summer holidays

He’s 2 and a half. Almost 3.. he isn’t walking or talking. Asd/adhd pathways. They recon they’d be able to give 1:1 support every day if they had the funding and extra resources for him. I was also told I’d get extra support with behaviour and things if he was getting dla to fund them.

I looked into the funding if a child gets dla the nursery or preschool get a extra £910 per year, I know my daughters preschool has applied for SEN funding and something called RAF funding, I think that is something to top up SEN funding, sounds like really she could do with being awarded before September

I asked about priority as I'm struggling on Mat leave and Uc but was rejected
