@NoWordForFluffy I rang up because I was worried then he said they definitely had my claim just beside on sending letters xx

It appeared this morning, dated 10 May, scan date 29/04.

Good job, as I forgot to ring at 9!

mamof3darlings · 16/05/2024 10:37

Hello Everyone, did anyone receive HRM?

I’ve only just sent my 3.5 year olds claim but it would make my life a lot easier if I could get HRM so I can get a blue badge to park closer to places, her sense of danger and sensory reaction to touch is hard while we are outside of the house especially having a 7year old with adhd aswell, we need 1-1 care with them both while we are out. It seems like from reading on here a lot of people have only got HRM if they have HRC and do a MR for HRM

parking 8/02 rang today for update it’s still not with anyone told to call again end of June 😳

My scan date is 16/2 I called today to check they have received the extra evidence I sent, I didn’t even ask for a update but he checked and said it would be with a decision maker by week 15 and would hear the decision by week 16, I called 523 way

WaitTimeWarrior · 16/05/2024 10:53

Just rang, got through straight away. Even though I am in financial hardship and UC capped I'm not being prioritised so much have stopped it. Been told 20 weeks now by 26th July

check with your LA, I have a blue badge for myself and don't receive any disability benefits only provided details for my ortho consultant and any meds I was taking, have had it for just over 6 years now.

bloom1927 · 16/05/2024 11:18

Just phoned, couldn’t wait 🫢 been told mine is in the final que to go to the decision maker and hopefully should have a decision next week😭 so nervous! He also said that the DM may need to ask for more info from other professionals which could delay but it all depends on the application but if we’ve been awarded they will send a text and I can just phone and ask for rates :) SD 01/02

This! I’m so worried. I only sent DD’s nursery letter (it was very detailed about needs) and IEP as we were still waiting for all our other appointments. Had loads of appointments since but still so anxious! Hopefully it won’t be long for you!

We already have a blue badge for my 4 year old. Applied for it before applying for DLA. Applied via our LC website, it was £10 and covers him until 2027. They didn't ask for proof of or if he gets DLA. I just needed to explain why he needed one (autism, global development delay, with no sense of danger, elopement risk and refusal to walk at times). I provided supporting evidence (EHCP, diagnoses proof and reports from paediatrician). Was processed and approved within 3 weeks of application

Wow thank you I will have a look into this, I thought I needed HRM to be able to apply 🤦‍♀️

I know it's so hard the waiting like I'm near 4 months and then if I need Mr will be another few months. They told me on phone today to contact nursery see if they have sent it back but I really don't want to ask them.woman on phone also said they give them 4 weeks to reply before they do a follow up. So hoping this is my last thread hopefully you get sorted soon

Thank you, I will have a look because it would be so helpful to have one. See my daughter hasn’t been seen by anyone yet, but health visitor, doctor, preschool know of her issues and are pushing for her to be seen by a paediatrician sooner so thought i would need the dla high rate mobility to be able to get it, my son gets middle rate care and low mobility but my daughters needs are much higher and both of them together it’s just to dangerous

Aussielover · 16/05/2024 12:20

@Waiting1901 did you give any evidence from nursery at all? Just wondering why they would want info from nursery because nursery don't take them out and about and inside a nursery room is a small area so not much movement or judgement can be made?

Tracy37x · 16/05/2024 12:24

Literally could cry!!!!! 😭

Going to call them shortly and hopefully find out rates :)

I know she never gets to far with nursery they did mention she looks to be carried a bit I sent her personal learning plan with it as its throu school

Aussielover · 16/05/2024 12:53

@Waiting1901 are the nursery supportive or does your child behave more extremely at home? I think dla trap applicants when asking the school as they know full well children are more ordered at nursery/school and use that as a decline opportunity which is unfair xx

Aussielover · 16/05/2024 12:54

@Waiting1901 does she have ehcp x
