My son (who was awarded DLA two years ago now) is the one who causes us to walk on eggshells. I said in the Ed Psych meeting at school (to prepare for the EHCP application) that nothing is fun, as you're constantly preempting what could trigger him next. We compared it to the Terminator, constantly scanning the horizon! 😩
He also has very restricted eating. It's so hard finding stuff he will eat. Then you do, you fill the freezer with it, and he then instantly stops eating it!
DD is very different with her autism, but she should be getting to be independent now, and she just needs so much help / prompting with everything that it's exhausting. Just differently exhausting to DS' needs!
