Congratulations on all awards today!
I've had the text saying they're still looking at the claim 🙃

Thanks for replying hun, ive sent pediatrician letters, her autism assessment report, proof of melatonin and im just waiting for something from speech and language to send will that be okay? X

That’s should be fine. If you can get the part of the form filled out for “someone that knows your child” that would make a great help as well so they know it’s not just you seeing the problems with them. And that’s ok I don’t mind answering questions. Everytime something changed though I called up and told them. Like when my sons school said they couldn’t cater for him and he isn’t in school anymore I told them. He hasn’t got a EHCP because he isn’t in school and I’m waiting on a list for a specialist school and gave them to schools details. It’s just if they do go checking it out then they have the information. If you need. Anything else just let me know hun xxx

I’m crossing every part of my body that loads more people get awarded this week. I do know exactly how you all feel with the waiting. I hope everyone gets what their child deserves. I’ve ordered lots of blue pool noodles today to stick in door frames as that seems to be the massive culprit of causing injuries to my son at the moment.

just one question though now my son has HRM can he get a blue badge for his visual impairment? I don’t mind parking at the back of car parks but would make things easier having somewhere closer

I’m with Halifax and can’t see the pending payment. It might just go in. I’ve never been able to see any pending payments on my online banking. My back payment is due tomorrow. If it’s not in by tomorrow around 3:30 it might be worth giving them a call. But whenever I’ve had electronic checks sent over I could never see it. Hope that helps x

Thankyou. It's usually abit different with Monzo, you can see a pending payment showing on the account 3 days before and can claim the payment at 4pm the evening before it's due. Xx

Matilde08 · 20/05/2024 14:41

Congratulations to everyone who have been awarded today 👏🏻💙🎉🥳💐💐💐💐

Just thinking here..even though we have not been awarded yet as they are more focus on other things in my boys case, anyone has any ideas of criterias how they decide what rates to give.. or it's just very individual..? Obviously I'm at the point that I just want to find out finally if he's awarded at all, but just curious. My boy goes through ASD assessment, has educational and health care plan, allergic eye condition, has sensory issues and ARFID. He does not have 1:1 but being supported by SENCO and teachers.

Fee89 · 20/05/2024 14:43

@sadiekt21 It usually takes 3-5 days to go into your account from them paying out x

MandTMUM · 20/05/2024 14:51

Can anyone help work out rates? I’ve got a pending payment due to go into my bank of £2128.10.
forms requested 15/12
form received 25/1

thanks ☺️

Aussielover · 20/05/2024 14:58

@Kell85 1000000% get a blue badge to help you park nearer to keep yourself and child safe. hrm will automatically qualify for blue badge, no forms needed by external agents and you'll also qualify for a car if you wanted to use the money for that.

How do you prove having melatonin given to your child? Do you just send prescription in or letter from gp/pharmacist?

Any idea how long coc are taking?

Anyone got hrm without 1:1 need?

bloom1927 · 20/05/2024 14:59

Okay so I phoned back just for clarification because I was really confused, lovely lady answered and was really reassuring, my claim has been sent to a DM this afternoon and should have a decision in 5-10 days, hope this helps anyone x

also said she can see I requested a text which has been put on the system but it’s not guaranteed I’ll get a text if we’re awarded as it depends on which dm has it so fingers crossed :)

Going by what I’m due to get and I applied a couple months after you I would say you’re getting lower rate on both. You could devide that by the amount of weeks you have been waiting and see what it matches. Mines worked out weird because you don’t get mobility before they turn 5 and my son only turned 5 last month so I only have 1 months worth of the mobility component

Mummy595 · 20/05/2024 15:16

Does anybody know if I should be exempt from council tax now I receive dla for my son? I was told I should be and I informed my local council. They sent me a new bill saying I was now exempt and was in credit and will need to call for a refund . I rang and they are now saying since that bill they have received an updated statement from my universal credit which has increased due to the carer and disabled child elements so my council tax has actually tripled from what is was before because of my new income amount

Scan date 19/01 DLA sent letter 26th April to school for more evidence letter still not returned said it to teacher today she said she would keep eye out for letter if it lands so they obviously have not received it. Man was quite rude on phone when I rang today he said yea I can see your calling alot in a very snarky tone. Don't know what to do next ring them bk say school not received it or leave it another while getting really fed up with all this feel like I'm getting nowhere

Aussielover · 17/05/2024 21:39

@Waiting1901 exactly, 3 hours is nothing when there is 24hrs in a day. The smi criteria for restraint does your child need to be stopped wandering in road etc x

Sorry I'm only seeing this now yes she would run out on road near got hit twice with cars going on 50mph road she has no awareness of danger would run out on roads would wander of etc

30/1. And just copy of referral from the school to get a diagnosis. Then I just wrote down how he is at home etc.

Amazing, congratulations, my daughter has only been referred, I sent the cahms letter, a snap report her teacher filled out, a brief doctors report and what I wrote down in the forms but my daughter has just been reffered to the SALT in school recently too, so waiting for the report on that to send, I'll be 11 weeks Wednesday, just really worried I've not sent enough but yours gives me hope.

LoisDaniellex · 20/05/2024 16:16

Yes definitely sent enough. Aslong as you have proven that they require more care/mobility needs than other children their age you should be fine x
