They told me 2 different things last week, one lady said its in a holding pile and the next man I spoke with said its being worked on. Lauren today lady sounded like it hasn't been looked at or picked up yet. So no idea 😕

So.. I've just called and have been awarded higher rate care and lower rate mobility! My son is on the waiting list for ADHD diagnosis. He has extra support in place at school but no 1:1 or EHCP/extra funding. Cannot believe it!

Hi,

Our scan date is 12/02/2024, so we are 14 weeks today.

I called this morning to ask if there was an update, and the call handler said there were no updates and to call in two weeks if I don't hear anything.

Now I have received a text message: "We are still looking at your child’s DLA1 claim. When a decision is made, we will confirm it in writing. There is no need to contact us about it."

Does this mean a decision maker is looking at our claim?

Do you know how long, on average, people wait to receive a decision after receiving the text?

Congratulations to all of you awarded today.

I had that text a week ago. Was told was with a DM last week then told today it’s not and to call back end of the month. So honestly god knows I don’t think they know their left arm from their right. Scan date 01/02.

MamaMeg44 · 20/05/2024 13:13

Scan date 26/1 Just rang up - spoke to a really lovely man after being on hold not even 2 mins! Been awarded as of 16/05 and backpayment goes in tomorrow! Not sure of rates yet but I am so pleased for my little one, she's finally going to have her proper bedroom!
Good luck to everyone!

Honestly 🫠 I could cry, getting really fed up with them now tbh and the best part about it is I could be waiting how long just for them to say it’s been declined, I wouldn’t mind if they were just straight with you instead of saying different things all the time

bloom1927 · 20/05/2024 13:25

I’ll be 16 weeks Thursday so waiting until then before I phone back again, but I’m not feeling hopeful at all to hear by then

Kita86 · 20/05/2024 13:34

MotherAndDSon · 20/05/2024 14:01

Has anybody been awarded from March (new claim)?

sadiekt21 · 20/05/2024 14:02

When I spoke to someone on the phone earlier they said I have been awarded from today & my backpayment had been released and was due tomorrow. However, I'm with Monzo and can't see it showing up yet. Don't suppose anybody can shed any light? Lol xx

Hiya hun what evidence did you send im really worried I haven't sent enough xx

Just sent in his orthoptics letters. Got his doctor to write a letter to say how bad his eye site is. And one where it says he has appointments every 6 weeks, I got his ASD letter, and proof that he is on melatonin and his early help worker wrote a page about Isaac, and his old teacher wrote about his struggles in a class room xxx

I’m with Halifax and can’t see the pending payment. It might just go in. I’ve never been able to see any pending payments on my online banking. My back payment is due tomorrow. If it’s not in by tomorrow around 3:30 it might be worth giving them a call. But whenever I’ve had electronic checks sent over I could never see it. Hope that helps x
