DLA wait time thread 43

No, I will not call them, dear. I called them last Thursday and just feel it will be another pointless call and I don't think I will cope with that mentally. 😔 Writing down a complaint at the moment to ready to send out on Thursday in case I'm having the same update they giving me for four weeks since case manager called me. Obviously they don't see it like an emergency.

My scan date is 30/1. What about you? X

Just spoke to a lovely lady who said it went to the DM last Friday so to give 7-10 days before I receive a text 🤞 soon as I get it to give them a call to find out the rate if he's accepted......so pleased to of got a nice call handler.....good luck everyone else

I don’t know when mine went to one but I’m sure it’s been a week now 🤞🏻 I’m keeping my fingers crossed, I’m the same I’m 16 weeks tomorrow xx

Hi guys, i havent been on here for a few weeks since we received our award but now ive had some time to process this i dont think its right.

My son was award mrc and is fully tube fed awaiting peg surgery, SGDD, suspected Cerebral Palsy, suspected Autism and has physio throughout the day...
Given we are tube feeding until past 11pm and were up in the night with his reflux would this not be hrc?

Does anyone know if its better to phone to lodge an MR or just write to them with all the extra evidence?

Phone and ask for MR to get the ball rolling and then send letter and maybe a brief diary of the night care provided xx

You need to ask them if the disabled child element of verified and ask them to backdate it to your award date

@Kell85 hi, well done on the award, what disabilities does your child have? I'm asking as I'm trying to achieve HRM also so I'm looking for others in the same boat as me

So.. Ive just called and spoken to the most helpful man!! He had seen that I had called twice last week aswell so he messaged the case manager that had my claim. They messaged back to say funnily enough I have just opened that claim and a decision should be made today, if not the end of the week! He messaged them back and asked if they would send a text to me, to which they said they would. So now it is just a wait for the text and fingers crossed we are awarded!!! Cannot believe it x

Scan date 19/3

I rang this morning for an update. I was made a priority one last week. She checked for me but it’s still in a pile waiting to be assigned to a decision maker. She said it will be up to 15 weeks. I am currently 9 weeks today. Just have to carry on waiting. 🤞🏼

My son is ASD and ADHD but I think he got high mobility because he is registered nearly blind. So he is partially sighted at the moment by will be blind by time he reaches his teenage years xx I think it’s very hard to get high mobility though. He is more of a danger because he can’t see traffic or cars or kerbs of a road xx

So 15 minutes after my last call and post.. have had a text to say my child qualifies!! Currently on the phone to find out rates etc! So happy!!

Feeling very privalidge this morning haha had my first text message saying we are still looking at claim 😂 not had any this whole time just the 2 letters our scan date 6/2 maybe this means it is getting close now ekkk..

Just got the dreaded we are still looking at your child dla claim the wait ridiculous its been a real bad week with my daughter shes broken her bed again 🤦‍♀️ shreded her clothes put holes in my walls broken light fixtues and not forgetting only sleeping 2-3 hours max a night mentally draining 😫
