When I first put my MR in it was 8 weeks then the first letter I had at about 2 weeks in saying 11 weeks and a letter at about 8/9 weeks saying 15 weeks, and a text on Tuesday saying 4 weeks, my original scan date is 06/11 and called for forms on 19/10, I mean in total I am 30 weeks in whats another 4? 🤷‍♀️

called today for the first time for an update, im on week 12. I got a very nice man who told me it was with the decision maker and I’ll hear within 2 weeks.

@Matilde08 with my first daughter my scan date was 28/04/2023 and i didnt get my outcome until 28/11/2023. 7 month wait! I didnt call, push or complain as id never dealt with any of it before. Dont let that be you, im making sure it dont happen to me again. I had to put a complaint in at UC recently after 5 weeks no response on my journal for backpay. I put in a complaint, got a call within 48 hours, letter the next day and money in my bank 2 days later. Honestly, i would complain it’s unacceptable!

It was already more than 20 weeks for me when I gave them my first call. I really hoped after call with case manager there would be some movement done and marked like an emergency, but unfortunately nothing. I hate I can't be more straight forward. I really do not want to put down a complaint but I'm at the point I Don't have any other choice at this point. It's unfair how we have been treated 😔

@Fee89 thanks but I think its going to be a decline again, school dont support me have never supported me when Ive asked for help, she academic so in there eyes not a problem. Shes 16 on sat so thinking we may need to give up on dla and go for pip instead

See im really petty. Id apply for pip when she turns 16. But id still take dla to tribunal just to prove a point to them. Then at tribunal id turn up with video evidence. Just to teach them school doesnt know your daughter better than you 😡

@Fee89 definitely going to apply for pip, her therapist is now leading the referral on to the nd pathway and depending on the outcome of the MR I may even do as you suggest x

I know its easier to just give up and move onto pip but why should you have to. Sometimes that little bit of fight back not only pays off but gives you a good boost 💖

It makes this whole situation even more ridiculous as this delay for decision is absolutely nothing about his special needs. I even said to this lady my boy is like sponge always picking up extra from me if I'm not in good place mentally. I should be strong to look after him and support him daily physically and emotionally as he's delicate.
Came back today after spending four days away, picked up him from school.. he was so emotional smiling and crying in the same time saying how much he have missed me. Those moments are so precious 💖 🥹🥹🥹 You are right being voice of him and that's why enough is enough..

@sjm100 looks like we are the same dates from requesting forms to getting a decline then sending in MR iv seen a lot from these dates made me wounder if they actually read any of the forms and just declined a lot to get through the back log quicker as some of the reasons why they declined my girl i never put that on the forms 🤷‍♀️

I’m too scared to ring again in case they tell me off, only rang Monday and told to wait. I’m such a wimp 😂 don’t know how you all find the strength to keep calling x

I managed to get through after 30 minutes on hold, she was lovely who I spoke to after explaining I’m awaiting a decision but need to change my bank details she looked into it, said a decision maker is currently looking at it and she should be making a decision in next couple of days. I explained I was told last Thursday it is with a decision maker after getting a text message on 8/5 about still looking at claim. They tell you it’s with a decision maker if it’s been sent over to them in a pile and waiting to be looked at but it’s showing it’s currently open being looked at with all evidence I sent. She popped a note on to the decision maker of my new details and to let me know when a decision is made. I got a phone call from the decision maker who was absolutely amazing. She checked I requested to change bank details and asked for them again as they haven’t sent the new ones over yet, explained she’s made a decision for my son of HRC. Also explained hes not entitled to mobility part yet as he’s under 3 (he’s 22 months} which I knew and was fine about. She was requesting payment and will be sending a letter out confirming all details of award. Haven’t received a text confirming as she rang instead.
Just relived the wait is over, honestly thought it would be a decline due to his age, atleast now I can get my boy everything he needs to help him. ❤️ I honestly felt scared everytime I call them especially after being told off last time but I also kept thinking it’s more than likely won’t be the same person spoken to last time so I’ll just act dumb if something is said about me calling again. 😂
Call! Hopefully you’ll get a decision soon, fingers are crossed for you 🤞🏻 x

Still here… been trying to stay off here as my anxiety is driving me mad. scan date 10/01, told 29/04 you’ll have a decision by 2/5 call back then called back nope that’s wrong call back 16/5 will have been with decision maker for over two weeks. Called back today, they put me on hold to check and cut me off 😭😭 cannot make it up. Will call tomorrow but thinking probably decline as no payments or letters yet
