@fee yeah quite possibly 😂 but I am one of them anxious callers with everything not just this it takes me whole day to build up courage and then call and put down a few times untill I manage to just do it. I'm fine with emails and sending messages but I just hate calls get so caffaffled and even the simplest question like what's your name dob will send me over edge and end up saying it wrong haha 🤣

Edited

Write it down pre ready infront off you will mame it easier for you to focus x

Dani2612 · 16/05/2024 15:24

@Matilde08
I cannot believe how long they have made you wait this needs to be escalated to the absolute highest priority!! I feel so awful for you, you have honestly had the patience of a saint.

I really REALLY hope a huge back payment is coming your way soon 💖🫂

Zoes3d1 · 16/05/2024 15:27

I’d just like to take a moment to say;
This group has been my absolute saviour for months! At first I watched silently, assessing things and gauging how long my journey would be.
Today I received the best news, my son has been awarded. And it’s such a relief!
As parents we just want what’s best for our children, and those of us with sick children, special needs, mental health etc want to fight even harder. We are their voice and we know them better than anyone.
You are all amazing in this group, and I wish each and every one of you all the best in your individual journeys.
I shall be sticking around for a bit to see those awards come flooding in 💞

Congratulations on your award 👏🏻 Xx

Mumofthecrazygang86 · 16/05/2024 15:34

@Matilde08 you absolutely HAVE to make a complaint!! That is beyond ridiculous!! Wow. I'd ring back and ask to speak.to a manager immediately! Hope they sort for you soon

Anyone else waiting on MR had this text? They sent 2 in space 6 mins x

Yes I had this Tuesday, we are currently week 10 of MR

Nams2828 · 16/05/2024 15:54

@Fee89 i was told its gone up to 11weeks for MR on the phone 2 days ago but the letter i received said 15 weeks dont think they really know what they doing 🙈

MrsPookie123 · 16/05/2024 15:59

@Fee89 Thank you so much for your advice. I called them back up and yep, both renewals had been scanned onto one renewal claim! Call advisor said he had to put me through to a manager who was surprisingly very nice. He couldn't understand how that when they were being scanned on, it wasn't picked up that it was 2 different renewals.

He also told me the 1st renewal had been decided upon and is the same as previous award (that's a worry off my mind) and is sending all my DC2 paperwork to a decision maker. I don't understand how the decision maker didn't pick up on it though! Makes you think just how much they actually look at.

@Matilde08 I'm sending you all the hugs and strength, as I cannot believe what you have had to go through. I hope you get some answers soon.

This group is amazing, so helpful and supportive x

sjm100 · 16/05/2024 16:00

@Nams2828 My letter that I received about 3 weeks ago also said 15 weeks.

I’m exactly the same with calls and if I mess up what I say or speak to someone who isn’t very nice it gets me so worked up afterwards and makes it so much harder to call the next time.

I do as fee mentioned and write a rough script of what I will say, sometimes even things I know like DOB postcode ect so I don’t mess them up through nervousness 😂 its the unexpected responses that sometimes catch you out though isn’t it 😅 x

Nams2828 · 16/05/2024 16:07

@sjm100 i think the 11-15weeks is about right looking at posts on the facebook page they was on 16th feb early last week and are on 21st feb dates this week.
Im 8 weeks so far so getting to my date is looking about another 4-7weeks 😩

AutumnalApricity · 16/05/2024 16:22

Congratulations @Tracy37x I'm getting rather anxious now as scan date is 12/02.. Hoping to hear soonish, just want to know even if it's a decline. The not knowing is just awful.

Deb88 · 16/05/2024 16:51

Hi, I called today, scan date 26/01, awarded MRC from 26/01 and LRC from his 5th birthday which will be this July - until 25/01/2026

@AutumnalApricity as promissed if I hear anything about my application, I will let you know as we have the same scan date.
So far nothing since Monday when I called and was told not to call for the next three weeks.

Matilde08 · 16/05/2024 17:02

Fee89 · 16/05/2024 15:21

@Matilde08 Are you going to send off the complaint?

Honestly I have no idea. Part of me is being like let's give them another week, but my hubby said we do that every week..patiently waiting maybe next one will be the one and nothing.

Matilde08 · 16/05/2024 17:05

@MrsPookie123 thank you 🫂 this group is such a support ... mentally it's much easier to go through the waiting and calls and cope with that huge anxiety

Thank you definitely need to do that and write down everything to make calls easier and if I have it all written down way before I make the call I will have it to hand when I pluck up courage as never a planned thing I just suddenly get the urge like I need an update but then need to convince myself to actually call lol 😂

Congratulations, X.

Isn't it strange that they will pay less from his birthday onwards?

Well, I already talked to case manager three weeks ago as at that point no one could give me a clear answer why it takes so long. He rang back, explained that they need to do additional check ups..and when I asked about at least approx time how long it would take.. he said they will try their best to sort it as soon as possible but another six weeks ..if nothing I should call. Obviously I'm calling them every week exactly from Thursday to following for an update. Thress weeks from that call and still nothing. I feel neglected and that it's not been prioritised as emergency already weeks ago

What I have felt from last couple of calls I don't think they have prioritised it like emergency. This young lady was nice and said she totally can understand my frustration, but can't really say nothing just it's still with case manager/decision maker and waiting for advice back. I started to cry while explaining that I know why additional check needs to be done as his dad passed away and he's eligible for that survivor's pension, but how it's something about his special needs. It's already upsetting to talk about it as it triggers me massively and its like constant painful reminder.

TheSnappyTurtle · 16/05/2024 17:39

Just fyi for anyone around my date 27/02

called today for the first time for an update, im on week 12. I got a very nice man who told me it was with the decision maker and I’ll hear within 2 weeks.

@Matilde08 with my first daughter my scan date was 28/04/2023 and i didnt get my outcome until 28/11/2023. 7 month wait! I didnt call, push or complain as id never dealt with any of it before. Dont let that be you, im making sure it dont happen to me again. I had to put a complaint in at UC recently after 5 weeks no response on my journal for backpay. I put in a complaint, got a call within 48 hours, letter the next day and money in my bank 2 days later. Honestly, i would complain it’s unacceptable!
