Congratulations to those who got awarded today 👏🏻

Good luck to those still waiting to hear.

I think now it's not going by dates but more like priorities. Claims are getting looked at first.

Guess I will be waiting around 20 weeks in this case 🙃

I feel scared to call them as I heard most been told different things or told to wait 20 weeks. So I wait till I get a decision in the post, haha

@LoisDaniellex yep I was tempted to call back at some point this week but I know I'll get a telling off lol x

Me too every time you call I get told different things wouldn’t mind but I’ve been waiting for a peice of evidence since last Friday and it finally came today so I need to go post this off but starting to wonder if it will be soon x

bloom1927 · 15/05/2024 13:16

It’s confusing because I see on fb after the 15 week text it’s usually a week/2 weeks max for a decision, scan date 01/02 and I’ve been told it’ll go to a DM maker this week as it’s been 15 weeks so should hear a decision in the next 10 days, Fingers crossed everyone gets decisions soon, this whole process is confusing and stressful as anything!

Rmn21 · 15/05/2024 13:17

@LoisDaniellex definitely worth posting it off, especially if we could be waiting potentially another 3-4 weeks for a decision 🙄 x

I got told the same thing that once it hits 15 weeks it then goes to decision maker and can take upto 2 weeks more for them to award

Same, exact thing said to me. Hopefully next week will be our week :)

My scan date is the 28/2 but on the phone on both occasions they have told me it's the 15/2 so which one do I go by?

Have you had a letter from them?

sambel · 15/05/2024 13:24

Yeah I've had 2 letters so far with the scan date of 28/2 on

Ahh I’m not too sure if I’m honest then! I would get it confirmed on the phone whether it’s the 15/02 or 28/02 and go off that :)

sambel · 15/05/2024 13:29

When I rang yesterday to see if the had received the extra evidence which they have and they told me my date was the 15/2 and to call back on the 29th of may for an update x

Exactly what I was saying the other day, we should all be a priority or we wouldn't be applying for DLA it should definitely go by date order and not be 15 weeks, my scan date is 6/3 but from looking at end of june now looking at July/August because prioritys are getting looked at after our scan dates, as much as I'm happy for people to be awarded its just frustrating.

Crazyhouse4 · 15/05/2024 13:37

I called yesterday to check if they have received extra evidence and got a really nice lady, she told me i would get a decision by week 16

True, that's why we all are claiming dla because we need that help for Financial difficulty with our children. So don't understand what dla are doing with this priorities thing and making it more longer for those who aren't calling them 🙄 We are all priorities here

My scan date was 30/01. I waited 12 weeks before asking to be a priority. Infact i waited until oct - jan before i could even apply. So 6 months all in all. Me paying out for all her hypo stuff to keep her in range, alive and not ending back in HDU almost in a coma. I have to make sure i buy enough to cover her while she is at school and while at home. Yes i get its annoying seeing people 'abuse' the priority route. But i can assure you some people do it for good reason. @Matilde08 Is on my facebook so you can ask her the sorry state my 9 year old at the time was in. DLA isnt for our financial hardship it's to provide extra financial support for our disabled kids. I'd rather my daughter have a working pancreas than have the need to apply for dla 🤷🏻‍♀️

🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 couldn't of put it better my self, and rightfully so it should be bloody urgent in certain situations especially in FEES!!! cannot believe that people are actually communicating small minded comments you've no fucking idea what others are going through @Kla1913 imagine comparing situations you've no idea about! Some children could literally have 12months to live? Are they not urgent? There's so many situations I could mention please you've no idea what a family could be going through and that comment is very small minded !!! Fee keep fighting for you deserve and she most definitely should be under as urgent!!! 💗

Hi all 🫶🏼 applied for Carers Allowance on the 8th of this month, rang today and lady told me it went to DM on Monday. Does anyone know how long it could be now?

Yeah I get what your saying, sounds like you and your daughter have been through alot, hope she is ok, like you said people abusing the priority route because they can't be bothered waiting like everyone else like matilde08 who has been waiting 24 weeks, the whole system is ridiculous, my daughters are autistic and ADHD, not going to go into their needs as it's alot but we all have to wait, but your getting people with scan dates of April getting made priority, again don't know their circumstances but just seems unfair, anyways not here to cause trouble as it's a very supportive group, just letting of steam.

Hi everyone

I have a daughter who’s 3.5 years old and is severely delayed has a development age of 6-11 months old. I finally sent off the dla forms last Friday. I’m hoping she’s awarded dla due to her difficulties. We are 1.5 year in on a 3.5 year wait for the neurological development team to assess her for autism and adhd.

I sent off her individual development plan from nursery, her SOGs assessment from health visitor, an assessment from speech and language therapy, a diary and health and safety assessment from school for absent episodes, a report from when she was in private nursery with a development assessment and a letter from the childcare hours for a grant for a 1-1 for her childcare assessment along with a letter from the manager from that setting.
my daughter doesn’t talk much, and has behavioural issues including meltdowns and various other additional needs.
Im hoping she maybe entitled to MRC, what does everyone think?
thanks xx

Definitely MRC but if you have to wake up thru the night to assist her or supervise her as well as thru the day I would say HRC that would be awarded x

@Tasha0429 Wow how rude are you, when did I say people with 12 months to live dosnt deserve priority, what the hell are you talking about, clearly stating people who can't be bothered waiting like everyone else.

Kla1913 · 15/05/2024 13:59

Rude? Go read your comment again, now AGAIN you've no fucking idea what they've been put on urgency for, so be mindful what your saying, practice what you preach!! 👌

Dolly2014 · 15/05/2024 14:02

Been looking on this post last few weeks and have to say some of you really don’t look out for other people. So what if peoples made priority were all in the same boat just different sanarios. It’s like it’s one big click on here and new people don’t even get replied too

Fee89 · 15/05/2024 14:03

@Kla1913 I have one daughter adhd, asd, tourettes, self harm etc and now my youngest type 1 diabetes on pathway for asd and adhd. I never once made my eldest daughter claim a priority. But my youngest needed to be for the diabetes. Im spending £40 a month just on sprays and barrier creams so she doesnt get a blood infection. I dont normally bite back at comments ans usually very supportive on here. But that did grind on me
