Surely they cannot decline you after all this time. Keeping my fingers crossed you hear something very soon.

I really hope so.. I had loads of evidence from school, hospital, CAMHs... this waiting drains me and I'm thinking the worse.

DaniCooling · 07/05/2024 10:20

Parking 18/01, so so anxious!!

It’s hard not to think the worst sometimes, I’m the worst worrier ever. It’s stressful. But if it was a decline I’m sure you would have heard by now, so that’s a good sign I suppose. 🤞🤞🤞

I've spoke to a lady this morning and my child's claim has been marked as financial hardship. I have a meeting with work next week to discuss reducing hours as I currently work full time and have to keep finishing early as after school club can no longer manage my child's needs for full durations. The original letter stated 15 weeks and I was naive in believing that I would know my financial situation by then to see if it was feasible with work to reduce hours (hoping that we would have a decision). Anyway my point of all this, has anyone any ideas after your application has been marked how long it will take to hear back? I'm praying for a decision by next Friday inline for this meeting at work. Stressed is an understatement - My anxiety is through the roof.

Also to everyone here, good luck for awards today! Crossing everything for a good day of awards.

People I’ve seen that have been prioritised due to financial hardship have generally heard back within a few days. Fingers crossed you’ll hear something very soon

I really hope it's a good sign then, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense.

From what I’ve seen they usually only take a few days once you are priority.

How long did it take you to get through to them today? Xx

Myadaggon · 07/05/2024 11:14

Parking 19/01 - 17 weeks this Thursday
Just called still no update on my claim, still with decision maker.

Myadaggon · 07/05/2024 11:14

16 weeks*

Ca24 · 07/05/2024 11:19

Just called was on hold for 40 minutes!!

Told it’s with final decision maker, call back in 3 weeks but could be as early as this week.

Whys the process so stressful 😭

Fluffs95 · 07/05/2024 11:21

23/01 - claim was moved to decision maker on Friday. Apparently should have a decision within a couple of days. (Have been told a lot of different things though- so we’ll see!!)

Also does anyone know the difference between the case manager and decision maker? Or are they the same.. ?

The whole call took me 20mins - just got off the phone now.

ForgedInFire · 07/05/2024 11:25

Called up today, I've been awarded higher rate care but no mobility. Scan date 17/1 awarded 3/5. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

fluffypooch · 07/05/2024 11:29

Can anyone tell me, if a message has been left on your claim does that mean it's marked? Thanks

My hold today was 35 minutes, which is an improvement to the usual over 1 hour hold. That was using the 1523 method :) xx

It’s the first time I’ve called! Surely there could be a better process, should be able to just log in and see where it’s Upto and an estimate of when it will be completed xx

Mamagugu · 07/05/2024 12:09

Just called literally didn’t have to hold at all got straight through! Shocked me!! I was told the other week decision by 02/05/24. To call back after then if I hadn’t heard. Lady I’ve just spoke to said that’s not correct. It’s actually 15 weeks on 02/05/25 and now with Case manager and no decision and I need to wait another two weeks before calling again. My scan date is 10/01 so who knows 😂

My claim was made priority (scan date 30/01) due to financial hardship last Thursday morning and a decision was made on the same day.
I didn’t get a text though. I called on Friday and they told me the decision. Backpay is due tomorrow.
If they have everything they need it should be pretty quick x
