I really hope so.. I had loads of evidence from school, hospital, CAMHs... this waiting drains me and I'm thinking the worse.

Your wait time is just ridiculous isn’t it! Hopefully this is your last thread: they can’t keep you waiting any longer surely!

I’ve rang today and it’s with a decision maker . Don’t know how long it will take . Do they always ring you for extra evidence or decline ?

Congratulations on any awards today🥰❤️
I’ve not long rang and they said it was sent to a decision maker this morning🤞🏼

Persianpoppy · 07/05/2024 13:22

So I rang.. couldn't help myself!
explained to them about financial hardship as my son needs adaptations put in place within the household especially having the bath changed into a shower with a seat.
Lovely guy Jameel! He said he has noted that onto the system and I should hopefully get a call on Friday to state the progress of the claim being put as a priority.
Ohhh I just hope it's all good news soon 🤞🏼 he did say that I shouldn't be anxious about a decline as i would of heard by now if it was a decline.

Hey guys, my forms were scanned in on the 14/02, currently on week 12 they said I should hear back the end of may has anyone else with forms scanned in February heard back yet? I’m trying to get as much support for my daughter as possible but a lot of these groups I’m attending for her said they can offer her even more support if she’s on MR dla. She’s been diagnosed with autism recently after arguing with professionals since she was 2 years. Also does anyone know any groups that I can take her that also offer support in the mean time in the HA postcode areas?x

9kidsandcrazy · 07/05/2024 14:06

Just missed a call from a lady call Bev.
The message has asked me to call back today.
Anybody else had this?
Wondering how long it will take to get through 😩.
Scan date 16/01

I had a call this morning. They just wanted to go over a few questions that I didn't answer. Then she said she was dealing with my claim today and I should hear something soon x

Scan date 22/11 Exactly today counts 6 months. If nothing in coming days, will call them on Thursday. Trying my best to put it back in my mind, but anxieties around this waiting doesn't help me at all.

That's a ridiculous time scale hun. What have they said when you've previously rang. I didn't even know they could take that long did they need more evidence from you or is it just taking ages? Try not to worry, I know it's hard try and stay positive x

Lauzyparkzy · 07/05/2024 15:01

Just to let anyone know with renewals. I just called and got straight through, to see what the status of mine was due to end 22/06 the lady was lovely she said ill recieve a letter about 2 weeks before the renewal date to say it's been approved, so guess it's gone through processing or going through she said she couldn't tell me anymore. Good Luck everyone. Worth ringing just to put your minds at rest x

9kidsandcrazy · 07/05/2024 15:13

Thank you.
Just spoke to Bev.She said my sons claim was being looked at and just wanted to ask me some questions regarding school support.I didn’t send anything in from school as my son isn’t on a support plan since starting(he’s 4)due to being in a class of only 4 so he already receives a high level of support. He was on a support plan preschool and I’ve included a letter from his OT and SEND support worker as well as sleep diary and lots of extra typed info.
Hoping this is enough.Bev was lovely so don’t be put off by calling ladies xx

Loubyloufootball · 07/05/2024 15:51

Scan date 31/01. I am really hoping by next week I hear something 🙏

Myadaggon · 07/05/2024 16:00

I am getting so confused with DLA. Just got off the phone and I was told my claim has been with the decision maker since end of January. But last week when I called, it was sent to the decision maker last Tuesday, don't feel as though questions are really being answered get told so many different things 😕

@Tracy37x 19th January lovely.
I can understand that it's nearly been 16 weeks and can take longer, it's just bugging me I'm being told different things like many others. Not fair really, we don't know where we stand and it's a long wait to be declined, rather be told asap lol

Like I mention before, my boy gets Survivor's pension from another EU country. That's the pension he's eligible even if we live abroad. His dad, my late husband died when he was little. It's nothing about his special needs, but they need additional check ups. They called me actually 2 months ago and askad about it. I explained, and she said they'll be back shortly with decision..more than month passed, nothing. I started to chase them up 2 weeks ago.. First call: no update at all, it was like they couldn't find it at all, general response: it's just takes longer than expected. Few days later call them again, they said it's with decision maker, wait another 2 weeks. I called them couple of days later again as I just felt something is up. I then found out there's no update it's with case manager, who called me back. Because of that survivor's pension they need to do additional check ups, asked time frame.. another 6 weeks, if nothing..have to call them back. Waited for another week, used this time long wait 423 dial and was connected with very nice lady who seemed very empathetic, this time I opened up how much it affects my mental health as I'm seriously having so much anxieties and panick attacks. It triggers me as well because of loss. She said still with case manager and once the information is back from Blackpool (I have no idea why.. another office or something) she marked that decision will be passed straight to my by text. I have no idea if she marked it like emergency because of all that wait, but apologise for all. Exactly today turns 24 weeks.

Myadaggon · 07/05/2024 16:24

@Tracy37x it's terrible really. I do understand they must be so busy with claims, but keeping people in the loop helps eases people's anxiety.
I hope you hear back very soon with all being good news 🙏 x
