i was just thinking if there’s a gap in scan dates over Christmas that they will be working at 15 weeks instead of 16 week, I think I’ve seen 21/12 then nothing til 27/12

I'm the 22nd ✋️ I've seen nothing for 23/24/25/26 think I've seen one 27th and a few 28th then another break over new year. Spoke to them this morning, was told its on a DM's desk but not actually being looked at at the moment. Will try again Monday!

Anyone happen to be waiting for a May renewal and still not had a decision? it's due to run out 17/05, and they've had the forms since 29/01.
It's our first renewal so worried its bad news when I see people that date that have had it renewed when they sent it in well past when I did, even though we had much more evidence this time. I'm also annoyed that DS Nursery get disability access funding for him which they now can't claim this term if it is renewed because DLA will get a letter to me past their termly deadline at this point.

The past 14 weeks went by really fast up until a week ago when I started to obsessively check my bank account/this group for news 🙃Here’s hoping for a decision soon 🙏

I'm 04/01 and really getting anxious now considering a couple of early January dates being awarded but I can't help but to think that my DD will indeed get declined x

Stephy32 · 12/04/2024 15:12

Same here 😫 Let’s keep our fingers crossed ours may be next week and we will be awarded x

Tonial · 12/04/2024 15:31

Thanks everyone, I will give them a call back Monday morning, see what they say x

Channy2777 · 12/04/2024 15:45

Scan date 29/12 not with DM as of yesterday morning

SAM2409 · 12/04/2024 15:47

put in a new claim (12/01) for my little one who is turning 5 in 3 months. I’ve heard that some get mobility when they are close to 5. Is that the case? or will I have to try and reapply in 3 months?😖

yes if its within i think 6 months of their 5th birthday then they consider mobility and have it start from their birthday (or the week of it) so you wouldn't need to apply for the mobility part, presuming you filled in that part of the form.

I managed to call again this afternoon and was on hold for 1hr 10mins but they confirmed my daughter had been awarded MRC and LRM until Nov 2026
Thank you for the advice to call back and not go through the new claims, im so glad I found out and I won’t have it playing on my mind all weekend.

I’m so worried. My scan date is 19/12. No official diagnosis and no supporting letters or evidence from anyone, so just my words. I called last week and explained that my daughter’s behaviour and emotions have become worse since I sent the original application in and was advised to send a hand written letter in with information.

I sent the letter to the freepost address this week, I called today and spoke to Emmanuel (who’s very nice) and he said they haven’t even received the letter. Also, he said they’ve sent a letter out to my daughter’s school on the 9th April and the decision to award or not will be based on their information. I’m worried because at school, she will get 100% in a test but they don’t know that she would have been up since 4am screaming and shouting at me to die, because her hair isn’t going right or her uniform doesn’t look properly. If school report that she’s doing well, it will be a decline.

The freepost address can take a while for things to get scanned on (days up to 3/4 weeks), if you send something tracked or signed for they seem to get something scanned on sooner (sometimes even the same day). Perhaps resend it tracked tommorow if you can, Disability Benefit Centre 4, Post Handling Site B, Wolverhampton WV99 1BY the address for non freepost.

@Tonial Ring back but dont select the new claims option. It is a longer way but they will give you more info. State you have been a decision has been made and you want to know the outcome x

@Chickapea77 Aww he is such a good boy. We have 3 and the youngest is a nightmare 😂. What breed do you have? X

Edited

Cocker spaniel, he is nuts… clingiest dog ever. He hates me talking on the phone so I can’t call the DLA line 🤣

Took just under a week for changes to be verified, they said when it's with a dm there is no scale for there to be a decision, so could be another long wait x

Really hope you all get your decisions soon, the wait is just horrendous isn’t it x
