Sorry but this made me laugh.
this is exactly me 😂 I did the forms, hated doing them. And I thought right off it’s gone, tell myself 20 week wait and don’t think about it and just pray I see a pending payment in my bank around June/July time 😂
scan date 9/2 and here I am reading this forum every day and over thinking every single bit of the form and wondering if I explained my sons needs and behaviour enough, bloody ridiculous isn’t it 😂

@MrsRawl its so bad it’s actually funny 😂. It’s become an obsession at this point haha.

Like a few people have said though, it’s more the not knowing than anything.

Ive been doing the exact same thing as you though. Completely overthinking everything I put on the form and whether my additional 4500 words was enough 😂. My husband thinks I’m bonkers which isn’t completely untrue haha x

I re read my applications multiple times in the 16 and a half weeks we waited. Kept convincing myself we hadn’t done or sent enough, but we did awarded in the end

How often are people calling up when it's with a DM, called 2 days ago and they said to wait up to 2 weeks because it hadnt been looked at yet, but I'm impatient lol!

I found out Wednesday it was with a DM, I'm calling Monday for a update.
I've purposely made myself busy all day today so I can't ring x

I called every other day the week before my little one was awarded 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 as they said it wouldn't be long and that it was going to a decision maker in the next couple of days. Hers went to a decision maker the Thursday before Easter weekend and she was awarded the Tuesday after Bank Holiday but I know some can be with the decision maker a couple of weeks+

OMG! I have woken up to a payment this morning. I have no idea what it relates to. Can someone give me the number to call so I can find out?
I am so relieved but also a little cross with myself for not applying sooner. My son is 14 so will only be eligible for 18 months until he is 16 and we have struggled since birth.

Blimey. Haven't stopped crying since I woke up at 6. I woke up, saw a notification to say a payment had gone into the bank so checked what it was. Did not expect it as I know from this thread they are still looking at some November dates!

I'm around 4 weeks behind you and really hope and pray to wake up to this moment every day, the wait is getting so hard especially after having to leave work. Congratulations for getting what your child deserves. Really keeps me going hearing positive outcomes.

Can I ask what the ref number says if national insurance number is missing? I saw something about it starting with different letters is a sign they don't yet have NI number? Just wanted check out latest letter

If you don’t claim child benefit, DLA will use a clerical reference instead, it’s normally CL. Mine is CL1-(lots of numbers).
we are at 21 weeks today still waiting for a NI number. But got child benefit approved yesterday so I’m praying that will speed things up 🤞🙏 xx

If you take the payment amount, count the weeks from date you called for forms or scan date if you didnt call......÷ payment by that many weeks you should be able to work out amount. Hope that makes sense xx

Congratulations on your award. I feel exactly the same as you, my son is nearly 12 and has struggled for years but it just becomes normality doesn’t it. I didn’t think he’d be eligible but he got MRC and LRM and he could have had this since diagnosis (7 years old) or potentially even before. Kicking myself now but better later than never like someone else said and it’s going to help him so much now.

Anything can happen in a short space of time. I was chasing up MR last week. I rang in the morning wasn't with a DM rang the next morning decision had been made
