30/01. Just recieved letter dated 18th March that they are sorry for delay in looking into claim and its currently taking 15 weeks. So far this is my 2nd letter and no texts.

I don't think they would go through the bother of getting a nino if they wasn't going to award you there all liars so it may well be with a DM just haven't spoken to the right person 😂 fingers crossed for us all next week @Emmajm85

@Alfsnan84 aw it really is hun, he’s neurodivergent so makes it difficult for him, bless your heart yes homeschooling I know the help is literally unheard of.. my boy is on reduced timetable but it was his schools decision. He was on the waiting list and accepted pretty fast as the school done it as an emergency referral. Breaks my heart that our children suffer so much and we have to fight for what they deserve and need !

As we speak I have just had a text !!
I called this morning for them to say by next week will have a decision… just got text to say he’s awarded !!! Iam crying with relief for him!!! Scanned 11/12 good luck girls !!! Praying for you all to get the outcome all your little ones deserve 💐💐

@mummytooneboy1 thankyou hun , I’m not sure on amounts or start date yet as when I called this morning the man said was still with DM.. few hours later got a text to say he qualifies and il get a letter within two weeks. Il probably call up Tuesday and annoy them and ask for award rates and amounts will they tell me via the phone ? Xx

congratulations hun, defo call up and they will tell you. I just woke up to a payment and they were able to tell me amount, rate, length and when my next payment is due. Also inform UC as soon as you like, i informed tax creds straight after they told me and would be backdated x

I’m not sure, they wanted more info from the school (I hadn’t put anything in from the school) so I think because of 1/2 term it’s been a bit delayed, although I did phone again today and they said they had all the information, so worst case scenario it will be two weeks. The school have been fantastic so I just hope they tell it as it is, keeping everything crossed.
The next delay will probably a NI number. It’s the 1st time we’ve claimed so I’m assuming we don’t have one?

If you claim child benefit for them they will already have an NI number. They just don't give you them until the child turns 15/16 or something like a DLA claim triggers the need to use it. Usually your reference number on your letter is the NI number. Think the reference number begins with CL if they don't already have one

Congratulations to all the mums with awards today. Looks like they are getting through December claims quite swiftly. I assume the Christmas week will also be lighter and hopefully they will start catching up a bit. This wait is horrendous. I am just waiting on a CoC because they have never really reviewed in like 10 years and of course everything is different now. I am so surprised they only do awards for a year or two, seems like they have created a massive extra workload themselves 😢. Glad they are doing some overtime Saturday and Sunday 😬
