I’m 15/12 so on week 15 but I’m thinking that Christmas & Easter will mean that it actually ends up being 18 weeks rather than 16 (unless they’re factoring Christmas & Easter in to their 16 week target).

They keep saying 20 weeks now

katiewil · 28/03/2024 09:59

I caved and rang again this morning..
Wanted to clarify what was actually happening as I was told was with DM and then holding pile..
Rang the long way rather than the short way which I think is why I got more information..
Definately with DM she said it has been for a while so she checked both systems to see if there's any notes but nothing on there.. she said the DM I am with has a massive pile to work through that's why it's taking so long with him
15/12

Yes me too I'm hoping this is our last week 😂 but don't think it will be are you phoning today xx

Not today. Going to phone next Tuesday. You?xx

Blossom89 · 28/03/2024 08:33

Mine starts with CL! Do you know this refers to something specific? Xx

Ya if you don’t claim child benefit for a child it takes them forever to generate a NI number so it’s a clerical case. We are looking at 20 weeks plus. Have you asked them if it’s been seen by a dm? Or what day they sent it off for an NI number ?xx

Blossom89 · 28/03/2024 10:12

Ah I see - we only just started claiming child benefit maybe 2 months ago! They only requested the national insurance number on 22nd March so could be in for a long wait! Do you think they’d only make it a clerical case if a decision had been made? I didn’t ask if it had gone to a DM or not. Thanks for your reply xx

HG95 · 28/03/2024 10:19

It’s ridiculous this week alone I’ve been told it’s with a dm, not with a dm, decisions been made, decisions not been made, goes to a dm at 15 week, goes to dm at 16 weeks, 16 weeks to be awarded, 18 weeks, 20 weeks and 30 weeks. They will literally say anything to get you off the phone

Summerrp · 28/03/2024 10:23

I can't believe the waiting time for some,
my scan date is way behind most here 6/2. I mean backpay is great but do they consider some people in our situation have had to give up our jobs and this choice is obviously the absolute last resort. How do they expect people to cope in the meantime. Just an added stress to what we already face daily, so unfair.

So they decided it’s a clerical case when you sent off your application in November.
did you send off your child benefit application 2 months ago or you have been receiving child benefit for 2 months?
if your getting the child benefit they should be quick getting the NI number.xx

Not today. Are you phoning?xx

Blossom89 · 28/03/2024 10:35

Yes we have had payments of child benefit! I wish I had asked them on the phone if a decision has been made. I was thrown by trying to work out why it was a clerical case! Thank you again xx

Hood1991 · 28/03/2024 10:44

my mr decision was made at 7 weeks if anyone is still waiting on a decision! :)

Oh right then the child does have an NI, do you know what his NI is? If yes then I think you should call them and give it to them, if they say they are still waiting for it. Also ask if your case has been seen by a dm
xx

Scan date 5/12
So I called at 9.50 this morning, got straight through to be told my son was awarded Tuesday MRC and LRM 🥳
Good Luck Everyone 🍀

Leigh3 · 28/03/2024 10:56

Caved in and called today she said mine is currently with the DM right now, but it’s not in a holding pile so wether that means it’s being looked at by the dm right this second, she advised me to call next Friday if I haven’t heard anything, praying the decision is made today 🙈 5/12

Leopardprintleelan · 28/03/2024 10:58

Jadexxx92 · 28/03/2024 09:20

Scan date 21/12
@Leopardprintleelan yes let's hope with being told the same thing. I will be ringing end of next week to check if its gone to DM

Hoping to see good news when you call next week, I'll look out for your username. Although I've been lurking on here that long that all the dates and usernames are just a blur at this point lol

I phoned again to let them know she does have a Nino now (but wouldn’t have had it when I made the claim in November!) she said it’s got to go back to the clerical team and then back to the DM so to give it 4 more weeks!!!! She said a decision “was likely” but that no award has been made yet xx

HG95 · 28/03/2024 11:45

What extension do I need ton call to get an answer on the decision been told twice in last 2 days a decision has been made but they can’t tell me or access the letter and also been told no decision been made and not with a dm but they were just going by weeks how do I find out ? 😫😫

Omg 4weeks! That’s taking the biscuit! What was your scan date? My scan date is 20/11 they said hopefully should get an NI number by 5th of April then it will go to a dm and that can take 2 weeks plus. Wow so im looking around 3 weeks 😩 potentially more.
I really hope you hear sooner 💐

Thanks I’m the the queue for that one so hopefully they won’t tell me something different I’m sick of calling. If I was awarded yesterday does anyone have any idea when I’d receive the back pay please ?

Blossom89 · 28/03/2024 12:06

I think it was 4 weeks total to go back into the to the clerical team queue to be actioned and who will add her number to the system and then put it back in DMs pile for final decision!
Are you under the impression a decision is likely / has been made for your child as that’s why they are requesting a NINO? I’m just trying to work out the likelihood they would still request a NINO if the award was a decline xx
My scan date is 1/12. Xx

HG95 · 28/03/2024 12:10

I’m fed up now for through on that extension to be told not with a decision maker yet I’ve asked who I complain to as the multiple different answers are ridiculous apparently someone will be calling within the next 3 hours so we shall see

kristie198 · 28/03/2024 12:16

I'm currently on hold
