I got through and they still haven't received her NI number

The wait is horrible. I just want a yes or no at this point 😅 xx

and it makes it worse that we’re all told different things, so none of us know what to think by now 😂
I rang most days last week, but I’ve given up this week. They’ve said it’s with a DM a few weeks ago, but not sure if it’s been looked at. I assume not 🤷🏻‍♀️absolute joke xx

I hope your is quicker than mine, it sounds like it will be. I had to send payslips and self employment papers but I qualify so all the have to do is put the numbers in their system but here we are :-( Just worried I will lose money

Do you have to apply for carers allowance to get the carers element on universal credit? Or are they two separate things?

Me too lol they could give us a yes or no mines been with a DM for a while they've prob made a decision they just can't process it untill the NI comes through which is why I keep ringing to see if they have it yet 🤣

No you have to notify UC youre are entitled to it then they backdate the CE and they’re Two separate things

You can only get one of these things, if you get careers allowance they'll take it off the Uc disability part. You still get the same amount either way I'm sure it is just depends on whether you prefer it weekly or monthly x

Who did you get? I can't believe you're still waiting for a NI No... that's just ridiculous! I hope they get it sorted soon, because it's not fair leaving to wait this long...they should've sorted this when the paperwork was first scanned x

I have contacted DLA. Scan date 13/12/23.
They informed not with a decision maker until week 16 and not sure how long it will take after that. Looks like will have to wait!

So have they told you that a DM has seen your case? They told me they don’t see your application until you have an NI number.

Yes it's been seen by a DM and there just waiting on the NI number so they can carry on with the process they've left a not on the application to send me a text xx
