So a caseworker and a decision manager are the same thing?

so why did he imply they were 2 separate people?

Also guys bear in mind not everyone gets a text to say the outcome. I rang when I applied last year for middle son and was awarded - I phoned and they said they will def text you to let you know outcome and they never did!

Thank you @mummytooneboy1 but no school and they are not ringing anyone so that is not it. I know that not everyone gets a text but some DMs can text and anyway this one is still sitting on my claim.... For what reason? No idea.
If they need something why are they not ringing me? 4 weeks they have been looking at it...
@Summerrabbit I know and I want it to be back dated but I honestly don't think it will be approved now and now I have had more test results and a lot more care needs but I can't just add them on and I can do a COC until this one is approved. So what am I me at to do? I don't know how to escalate it. All I am being told is to wait and that they are sending messages to the DM who is just doing nothing about it.

I don't know. I might just wait until I am at 20 weeks and then write to my MP or something

Maybe they’ve already made a decision just waiting for NI number. Getting an NI number can take up to 6weeks x

@Tangerin I think I seen someone waited 22 weeks, I think it was on a fb group if that helps abit 😩x

@TheHeadOfTheHouse yes both are the same person, I don't know why they make out there different I had this confusion when I made a claim for my first child last year, it was with DM for a week so I rang a few times they would either say case worker or DM is looking at it

No because we already have that. I just wish they would tell me something rather than to wait. 4 weeks with DM???? For no reason!

@mummytooneboy1 it just doesn't make any sense. If I thought I would get a good outcome by waiting then fine, but I am sure they are sitting on it only to decline it and then I will have to suffer it all over again for a Mr. And I just don't know what to do with the new evidence now.

So frustrating @Tangerin! Sorry you are dealing with this. I must admit when I said to escalate it I have no idea who to! I was hoping someone might know more than me. It’s really bad that yours seems to have got stuck esp when you have new info to add. I wonder if there is anyone who could advise or ring on your behalf.

Just rang again as the last guy I spoke to said they go from the scan of evidence not application.

Lovely lady on phone said it's with DM and they go from the scan of application and not to worry

Said 3/5 is the day I should hear by

I am not ringing anymore until that date now gunna try and forget about it

Hi just thought I'd give my experience.

HRC awarded to 19.4.24.

1st time renewal didn't receive forms didn't know they were automatically sent out called end of Feb. Sent forms 8th March. Called today to check everything been received and been re awarded HRC to 2026, was done on 17th March can't believe the quick turn around really can't believe it.
