kaysash86 · 10/04/2024 20:04

Requested MR. MR request received 1 March 2024. Fighting for HRC. Fingers crossed.

Sarahdestiny · 11/04/2024 09:57

sjm100 · 11/04/2024 10:03

@Sarahdestiny good luck, hope you hear sooner than that. If they're going to DM at 8 weeks I should only have 2 weeks left (6 weeks on Mon), keep us posted, fingers crossed for you x

mrsclarke89 · 11/04/2024 10:06

Hi all. I submitted a MD on 2/4 and got a text saying they had 4 weeks to review. Bit worried as i need to get some evidence which may take a week or 2 to get. Is it more like 8 weeks in reality? Thanks. X

Sarahdestiny · 11/04/2024 10:06

Wow, this is the smallest amount of time I've seen them say, mind you we've been told 11, 15 and some even 20-25 weeks !

Good luck!

mrsclarke89 · 11/04/2024 10:27

mrsclarke89 · 11/04/2024 17:42

Ladies I need some help. I did a MR on 29th April. I called today as had letter confirming why it was declined (after requesting it) but also a letter asking for his birthday certificate again?? So i rang them just now to ask why and she couldnt tell me why but said the MR was with a case manager already and had been declined again?!? How is that possible. Ive said on 2 calls since decline that i had further evidence to send in and a letter fighting it. I had a text two days after i submitted the MR saying it may take 4 weeks and the lady on phone didn't understand that either. I am so cross. She said to ring back tomorrow and they will put me through to case manager?

I meant 29th March. So just over a week ago and only just had it confirmed in writing so if they have already declined MR without support evidence and letter confirming why j disagree it's a disgrace.

sjm100 · 11/04/2024 20:47

@mrsclarke89 Did you do your MR on the phone? Could the letter of decline be from the first claim? My acknowledgement of MR (I put in straight away while receiving the decline over the phone) and decline came in the post the same day about a week later? X

Yes I did it on the phone when they confirmed they declined his claim (29th March). I then had through a basic letter saying he wasnt eligible. I called them and asked for the detailed reasons in writing that they told me on the phone which I got today dated 8th April. And also a letter asking for his birth certificate again dated 10th April? So odd. Lady on phone seemed confused and said my MR had already been concluded and with case manager but to still send docs so 'claim goes in my favour'. Its just strange. And the text saying MR will take up to 4 weeks.

LancsMcG · 11/04/2024 21:02

@mrsclarke89 ive not heard of a MR being done that quick - from what I understand it’s not even being passed over to a new DM until week 8 and then it’s taking anything from 1 to 5 weeks after that.

when we got the LRC award I immediately put in a MR and have sent evidence twice - I got the confirmation letter after about 2 weeks and then had a letter a further two weeks about the MR - I really think they are confused on the phone lines as I phoned up last week and they were telling me 20-25 weeks for MR decision - I really do think it’s just cross over from the original decline not the MR decline.

Yes its doesnt seem right to me at all it would be so quick? I haven't had a letter confirming my MR yet. Just a text saying thanks for asking us to re look at the case and its up to 4 weeks (thats still strange?) and also the birth certificate. Should i still ring tomorrow for clarity?

sjm100 · 11/04/2024 21:15

@mrsclarke89 I put my MR in over the phone when I found out they had declined the claim on 04/03 and the only letters Ive had since then is the original decline and one confirming my MR had been received and MRs were taking 11 weeks, Ive had nothing since then. The more I read the more Im sure they have no clue whats going on!

sjm100 · 11/04/2024 21:15

I would ring again for clarity x

LoudBee · 11/04/2024 21:50

I called earlier in the week, I was told 8 weeks, I’ve also had no letters or texts to say they have the information for a MR, but lady on phone said they have my extra evidence , I will be on my 8th week next week
