My MR was received 28/03 I haven't called up because I don't want to be disappointed but looks like mine will have been declined yet again as I've not received any money and they're now working on early April. I feel so disheartened and really cant bring myself to call

Mummyof3safire · 16/07/2024 13:29

I've just been on hold for 10 mins I had to put the phone down so may try and call back, I can see if any money is due to come into my account the next working day and got nothing coming in tomorrow which is disappointing ☹️ I think I just don't want to hear someone say it

Don't you need to wait for the mandatory reconsideration notice in the post anyway?

Honestly I cannot believe we haven't got it. He has bowel incontinence and I have sent so much evidence off, his nursery can't believe he didn't get it first time round. I plan on taking this to the end for him he struggles so much, just disheartening as we haven't had much luck with a treatment plan that will help him so I'm waiting for his surgeon to tell us the next steps but it feels like I'm getting no support at all from all angles 😭

Thank you so much I'd written the claim off especially cause reasons for decline at first were ridiculous! They said the decision was made on the 12th and it'll be backdated to September, I honestly cannot believe it. I don't know where I stand with mobility as he's not 5 til October but I'm not even bothered about that I'm just so happy to finally feel supported in some way!

Annieliz1990 · 16/07/2024 16:40

hi all.
I am having basically a breakdown over requesting a mandatory reconsideration.
my son is 10 with asd and adhd confirmed his 1st claim when he was 8 was awarded LMR and MRC this time he had been awarded MRC but on unusual reasons and the LMR stopped due to a phone call to the school ho said he doesn’t require help outside which is completely untrue just last week we was walking home from school his friend was in traffic in the car called and he ran into the road to high 5 him :( now I’ve don’t the mandatory reconsideration and disagreed with the decision for stopping LMR I am STRESSED, I feel sick even. I am worried I have just screwed it up completely and they will decrease or decline his claim completely 😭 has this happened to anyone and also can you cancel a mandatory reconsideration?
apologies for the long post I’ve been researching since and this is as close as I’ve come to getting help and advice appreciated…

Has anyone ever phoned up for a statement of reasons and been told the decision maker hasn't put one on the system and it will have to be requested?

Hi all, my MR was received on 05/04, and just called today as 15 weeks was up last week. I was told it went to DM on Saturday and decision was made but she couldn’t tell me over the phone and that I have to wait for the letter.
I haven’t heard this before, has anyone else experienced this im really stressed about it. When I first applied for DLA they told me on the phone what the decision was.

TheSnappyTurtle · 22/07/2024 17:37

SD 13/06 for MR. Ages away i know 🫣 i called today to check my extra evidence has been received and scanned. I asked the wait times and he said 12 weeks but to allow up to 15. Does this sound about right? I find it hard to believe 🤪

I had this too but it's because the initial person who answers the phone cant see the screen with decision. She passed me to a case manager so maybe ring tomorrow and ask to speak to a case manager who will tell you x
