Started this thread to help people pass the time and also communicate time frames and outcomes going through the process of a MR

I’m on week 14, rang yesterday and got told to ring back at the end of next week when it’s at week 15.
most frustrating

Did you send in your Mr or do it over the phone. Seems to be that people are getting through the process sooner if it's a phone MR but dunno if it's location related or something too

I did mine over the phone and sent further information in. My date is 04/03 so 13 weeks on Monday, I've heard nothing, to be honest I'm expecting a letter in the post telling me that they haven't changed their decision.

Well I rang yesterday and mine still hadn't even been sent to the DM yet and I'm just 2 days behind yours so I wouldn't worry that it means rejection, more likely just still in a pile waiting to be looked at 🤦‍♀️

I started it over the phone, but then sent in extra info. I’m counting the weeks from when the extra evidence was received. If I count from the day I requested the MR it’s nearer 18 weeks.

Oh god that's ridiculous! It's insane how long it all takes, I keep telling myself to just forget about it and it'll be done when it's done but it's not working 🤦‍♀️😂

I rang up and they said it's with the decision maker 6/3

mrsclarke89 · 12/06/2024 17:02

Wow this feels so much slower then the application wait. Week 12 here I think but probably going to the 15 weeks by looks of it.

Hi guys I posted on here not too long ago. Sent off for MR end of Feb however didn't send any evidence. They rang me 2 weeks ago asking for evidence. I sent it off straight away (ehcp etc). Yesterday they rang me and asked if I've sent the evidence as they havent received anything. I panicked as I sent it and my documents were originals. Today I rang them back and they confirmed they've received the evidence and my case was with someone and they would make a decision in the next few weeks via post. An hour later I had a call off the same agent that rang me yesterday informing me my MR was successful. Good luck everyone x

LondonMum1989 · 14/06/2024 09:24

Morning everyone.

im currently at 8 weeks ice just called up this morning and I’ve been told its now a 15 weeks turn around time 🙃. I done my MR on 10/04 they said I should hear mid/ end of July. The wait is killing me.

Mummyof3safire · 16/06/2024 22:55

Any more updates on MR wait times when being done over the phone please ? X

SLB90 · 19/06/2024 11:18

I got my result yesterday, I put the MR in 15 weeks today. Gone from no care awarded to higher care. Was originally awarded lower mobility and kept that xx

Had a letter in the post yesterday, original decision has been upheld, basically because she's been described as intelligent and capable, her social awkwardness/anxieties and quirks doesn't amount significant assistance compared to others her age. Its so frustrating because my SIL gets dla for my niece who has the same issues although she does have possible endometriosis as well, and my SIL took her out of school because of her anxieties, where as I kept my child in school. Good luck to everyone else on your MRs x

Are you going to tribunal? Seems like they suddenly see the child's difficulties then

sjm100 · 20/06/2024 12:03

@Themrseds probably not, she turned 16 in May as well so I wonder if that also contributed to the decision. They said that also because CAMHS have said that there is significant support already in place to assist her in school and there is no ECHP in place they don't feel she need significant additional support. Her CAMHS therapist has led the referral for an ND assessment and has said that with the extra input from her observations should mean that she at least gets offered an assessment I might wait for the acceptance onto the ND Pathway then apply to pip for her.

I had this as the original reason that the decision was no care needs because his head teacher wrote on a report I sent in that he was "bright and capable", this was regarding his help with the gardening 🙄 they conveniently ignored the rest of the report where it was saying he had social issues etc. for the mandatory reconsideration they then tried to give him middle rate because of not enough evidence of night needs even though both CAHMs and the school reported his tiredness. He was adamant I'd have to go to tribunal if I disagreed with the decision until I said I wanted to put in a complaint and he suddenly awarded him higher. The whole system is broken. I am over the moon he got awarded what he deserves but it pisses me off how much you have to fight when you're so exhausted as it is!
