Started this thread to help people pass the time and also communicate time frames and outcomes going through the process of a MR

I received payment today…HRC! (from a decline, they make me laugh- it should never have been declined in the first place!)
however they have only paid from the scan date not the date I called for the claim pack- is this right?

were you not aware of the new decision prior to the payment going in ?

What was your MR date please?

That's some jump from a decline to HRC!

I knew she had been awarded- I got a text Wednesday but had no idea what rate she had been awarded. I’ve known in my gut from the off she was entitled to HRC. She’s fed via ng tube and on multiple medications throughout the day and has nurses visiting her weekly!
my mr date was Feb 19th (I think) but my original claim was from June last year, but the have paid from the scan date not the day I’ve called for the claim pack.

the day I called for the pack- just wondered if anyone else has been in this position? I feel like I should be grateful they’ve finally done it, but then I feel like after the hoops we’ve had to jump through to get to this point they should give her what she’s fully entitled too! If they do this to everyone then they’re saving themselves £1000s that should be for the children

@NGTMamma I'm glad they've awarded what she's entitled to

I would, without a shadow of doubt, go for what should be awarded - and if they've made a mistake it's their mistake, so I would chase for what is rightfully yours/your daughter

@NGTMamma my sons last name begins with V and his scan date is 16/2 still heard nothing n got feeling they are going alphabetical just wondering what does your child's last name begin with x

Just spoke to someone said working on 12th Feb dates now so should
Nt be to much longer ring back in 2 weeks if still not heard anything x

MR scan date 12/01/2024. Had a payment this morning but yet to receive a letter. Payment works out at the difference from what was awarded to higher rate care which is what my son should have been entitled to.
15 weeks and 5 days to payment from scan date.

Rung today as 12 weeks now said decision has been made but couldn’t tell me on phone letter has been sent out

Usually that means decision has stayed the same as it was definitely go to tribunal sometimes they change the decision before had what was your MR scan date ? Did you get letter about it taking 15 weeks ?

@Jonesy0102 scan date was 8/02 and was hopeing it didn’t have to go tribal 1st done claim October the wait has been horrible my daughter is only 2 and half heard it can be hard to get accepted this young

I applied for my son when he was 2 & a half for suspected ASD was awarded HRC & my other son at 9 months old different reason was again awarded HRC don’t let age put you off hope you get what your LO is entitled to x

@Jonesy0102 Just rung up again it was a decline again so have to wait for letter and see about doing a tribunal have u done 1 of these be for oh was u accepted straight away
My daughter hasn’t gt dygnoses yet she under nerocogist she has delays .speech delays benign paroxysmal torticollis , migraines vomiting hours days also vertigo episodes mcdk kidney and dosnt sleep at n night never has also hearing and sight proublems and now very sensitive to light couldn’t leave house all last week atall waiting on whole gnomes sequencing to actually confirm what it is mgt be best waiting for results frm then and then maybe try and re apply

Exactly week 11 tumo 16/2 still heard nothing for my 2nd son MR
these declined are horrendous especially how long we wait for decision the first time then MR waiting times Sent more evidanve and about 10 pages back to dla about the other mr which got declines they got until 3rd June to change there mind @Jonesy0102 have you heard anything yet x

No haven’t done a tribunal but seen others talking about them we was awarded MRC amd we’ve appealed for HRC

No week 11 now I’m not ringing for a while rang on 23rd Apr still was told I’m the pile x

@Jonesy0102 same am just trying to wait now if haven't heard by next Friday must be a decline and a letter on the way x

@Sarahdestiny Some one has just waited 15 weeks and 5 days to payment in the bank for an MR i wouldnt over think it they also log every time you phone and make a note of it so they’ll love you you’ve rang up a lot what will be will be I hope you get sorted 🙏🏻 xx

I received letters today, decision was made at 15 weeks exactly.
I also had another letter with the same date telling me it would take 11 weeks. That one made me laugh, might have been an idea to send that one at the start not on the same day a decision was made!

Really hope everyone hears soon.
