Started this thread to help people pass the time and also communicate time frames and outcomes going through the process of a MR

Hi I called today the lady said a letter was sent out on the 16/4/2024 but she can't tell me anything about it

Why can’t they just tell you ? well if it’s good news and I hope it is you should receive back payment before you get the letter

I just called back to the general question about awards they have said no change to the decision the lady said I have to wait for letter

If they said there’s no change to the decision and you were initially declined from the off or you got a lower award and after a higher one it’s stayed the same

Ok at what rate did ? you also ask for length of award to be looked at ? here’s a table of award lengths they should offer you depending on how old the child is

Hi do anyone know how I go about asking for a tribunal for the decision on my Mr about the time length on DLA please

sjm100 · 18/04/2024 15:49

@126t from what I've read online you can't go forward with the tribunal until you've received your letter of decline from your MR, all of the information you need is then in the letter.

There’s also a link earlier in this thread that directs you and explains how to do it

I think that screen shot has been taken from the medical guidance notes the decision makers have. It's not a blanket award for certain ages, there is guidance for award length for different conditions so won't be relevant to all claims.

4outof4 · 18/04/2024 18:10

It's called "Medical guidance for DLA decision makers (child cases): staff guide"
You can download and view the full document and find the information relevant to your child's condition. One of my kids has a rare condition not listed so it's not all in there but there are lots.

Sarahdestiny · 19/04/2024 06:30

Any new awards yet ? x
For me still nothing got a feeling decision will be made next week now well I hope so x

LancsMcG · 19/04/2024 08:48

@Sarahdestiny nothing new here yet - MR 19/2 - when I spoke to them on Tuesday they said they were up to 5/2

sjm100 · 19/04/2024 09:15

I'm 04/03 and I've just received a letter stating that MR's can take upto 15 weeks.

Sarahdestiny · 19/04/2024 14:38

Getting sick of waiting now :/ constantly thinking about it 🤔 you would think Mrs would be done alot quicker than new claims 🙄 system just doesn't make sense at all

MadHouse24 · 19/04/2024 14:41

So our MR has been actioned but they won’t tell me the outcome over the phone….does this usually mean bad news as they told me my other daughters rates over the phone no problem!

@Sarahdestiny i'm the same - it's just so inconsistent with which DM awards what, and the wait times as you say - waited almost 5 months for initial decision (was awarded LRC) and now been waiting since mid feb - and still waiting - drives me mad

Sarahdestiny · 19/04/2024 14:50

@MadHouse24 does actioned mean they've made a decision & how many weeks are u x

Sarahdestiny · 19/04/2024 14:51

@LancsMcG yes I no it is ridiculous now hopefully won't be waiting much longer but God knows with them x

Yes, they said a decision has been made and a letter will be sent out today but wouldn’t say what the decision was so I’m taking that as a negative! It was registered 21st Feb so just over 8 weeks!

Sarahdestiny · 19/04/2024 15:02

@MadHouse24 if I was you I would ring back & speak to someone else because not knowing Is worse everytime I ring they don't tell me anything really but I will be week 10 next Friday so guessing mine is declined to by now and they just keep fobbing me off x

Emmal1234567 · 19/04/2024 15:06

Mine went of on the 8th of feb I’m currently on hold now see what they say this time the wait is ridiculous

LancsMcG · 19/04/2024 15:27

due to Madhouse24 i'm on hold again (phoned Tuesday morning) to see if there's any update on mine too... my MR was 19 Feb

@Sarahdestiny @MadHouse24 yes I'd call back too...
