I really really really hope it's not 15 weeks... I'm still hopeful with 9 weeks after a couple of people got their decision around that time last week.

My sons MR took 7 weeks 2 days. Submitted by phone on the 6th Feb decision made 28th March

We are now at 8 weeks we just received a letter saying mr could take 15 weeks did you receive one of those for your MR

4outof4 · 16/04/2024 19:45

If they need medical evidence checked or need to speak with schools/hospitals there is an added wait to hear back from others!

Emmal1234567 · 17/04/2024 07:03

How long are mr taking ? Done mine 8/2 would be 10 weeks to moz and still nothnk rung last week they said can take few more weeks

LancsMcG · 17/04/2024 09:14

@Emmal1234567 we all seem to be getting letters saying up to 15 weeks,
a few people last week who were about 9. weeks and 2 days got their decision,
i'm at 19/2 - actually on hold as we speak - not expecting any new information though

sjm100 · 17/04/2024 09:17

I'll be week 7 on Monday, my daughter's CAMHS therapist is leading the referral onto the ND pathway as she sees what I see, we're not seeing her now until 30th April, do I ask her to write a supporting letter for DLA?

LancsMcG · 17/04/2024 09:21

so i've phoned twice this morning and on both occassions they say I need to redial and select the option for mandatory reconsideration - but for the life of me I can't hear that option - any clues anyone please?

ok - so got through using options 522 as mentioned (after about 50 minutes) they said they are working on 5th feb at the minute (i'm the 19th Feb) so hopefully that might give you an insight of where things are at the minute

I hope that helps

Morning, everyone. We're going to move this over to our SN Children board, where we think lots more people will find it useful. The Childcare board is more for threads about nurseries, childminders etc.

Sarahdestiny · 17/04/2024 13:51

@Jonesy0102 hopefully that's true x

kaysash86 · 17/04/2024 16:14

Just called for an update. MR fo was scanned 1st March. Apparently with case manager and decision maker has 4 weeks to look at it. They said to expect letter by 2nd week in May. Hanging on by a thread....the wait is ridiculous

126t · 17/04/2024 17:00

Anyone around the 1st of Feb heard anything yet please

@126t I'd personally call back - they'll know either way - and if you have been declined again, just say, "I've been advised to take it to tribunual"

(I mean you are being advised in reality by everyone in the group)

I just called back to the general question about awards they have said no change to the decision the lady said I have to wait for letter
