Hey, have you tried contacting your gp? All of my sons referrals and test results have been sent to my sons gp so I requested it all from them and they printed it out so I could send it all off. It might be worth a try to ask them.

Yes I may try that thank you 😊

Anyone around the 13/11 had a decision yet? I was told last week that a decision would be made in 1-2 weeks....
Getting so nervous now!

Good luck! Let me know if you have an update. Doesn't seem to be any logical order to it though at all!

Lu2024 · 05/03/2024 20:21

Do you mind me asking what you was awarded?
and also does anyone know how difficult it is to be awarded HRM? My child refuses to walk if longer than 5/10 minutes (but will happily walk around a park to play) and the GP and other healthcare professionals suspect he has hyper mobility, he falls all the time and has broke 3 bones already (2 of them being at school), he’s only 4 so it’s quite concerning

Hi, to be eligible for hrm first of all you need to be getting Hrc and second typically they need to see medical proof of a diagnosis, does your son have a diagnosis??

oliviaxxx · 05/03/2024 20:57

Hope my DM gets their leg over tonight and wakes up full of beans hahaha 🤣🤣

Good luck for everyone tomorrow, hopefully some awards made. I'm a nervous wreck now I knows it with the DM lol 😅

I think I just need to wait and see.
there was a diagnosis off the GP of hyper mobility and this was also picked up by the occupational therapist, my child has now been referred to physio.
he falls daily, sometimes he doesn’t hurt himself but other times he does, he’s broke 3 bones already and he’s only 4, bangs on the head etc, most of them recently have been at school, this is through normal play, he falls over thin air and he just lies on the floor and refuses to walk, I’m still unsure if it’s because of sensory needs or pain from joints, that’s what we’re still trying to figure out, it’s just quite difficult because of his age, but no other diagnosis as of yet x

im 20/11

KaylaOG · 05/03/2024 21:51

@CS0689 @Natbat87 im also 13/11. Called today and it wasn’t with a DM yet but will be assigned by end of week. Then they said 1-3 weeks for a decision

MrsW12 · 05/03/2024 21:55

I honestly think they make it up as they go along as they told me it goes in date order when I don’t think it does 🙄

Muvva1981 · 05/03/2024 22:04

Scan date 30/11. Called yesterday and was told it will be another 3-4 weeks so I’m calling first week of April .
Unrelated to the subject matter of this ongoing thread , I had confirmation today from Family Fund that my little man is deemed eligible for a grant so it’s a case of waiting . Applied for a grant for an XL buggy , a sensory package too. The buggy I have now he’s way too big for and they are expensive .

Hope tomorrow sees more awards for you ladies 🤞🤞

This is agree with wholeheartedly. Seen those with scan dates after mine awarded and then many told there still a few weeks wait yet .

I just wish they’d update the 15 week letter. It’s so generic but means nothing. People like me with adhd can’t let go of that 15 week target (and those who don’t have adhd also!) Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be disappointed with a decline, but I can’t cope with the not knowing.

ThatsGoingToHurt · 06/03/2024 06:59

Scan date 9/11. Had a call from DLA yesterday ask why the form had come back after the deadline. I said honesty I didn’t know as I had posted it back before the deadline using the free post address so I didn’t know why I had taken 2 weeks to be date stamped. The lady confirmed that my son had been awarded DLA but wouldn’t confirm what the rate he had been awarded and that she couldn’t back date it to September. I tried to post the forms back by special delivery but the post office said I couldn’t with a free post address. I didn’t think at the time to get confirmation of postage and I don’t have a receipt as I didn’t pay as it was free post. My friend said to put in a MR to ask for it to be backdated but I don’t know if I can or even if it is a good idea!

That's a shame and the post office shouldn't have told you that, mine went recorded so I could track it!

Will they backdate to 9/11? It's up to you but they look at it all again with a MR and they could take it away completely x

Definitely put in for a MR. I’m not sure if you would get backdated with what you’ve said but definitely fight for it . I can’t believe they said you couldnt with a free post address :( Someone at that Po definitely doesn’t know their job properly . I say the is as I paid for signed for delivery and my PO deducted the paid postage of the existing envelope off the signed for fee.
put in for a MR but like @bonz2023 says , they look at the whole award . I would call today as I’ve seen many circumstances where people are told one thing one day and something completely diff the next .

Im exactly the same. I see something wrote down and even though I know it’s not accurate I latch onto it. I’ve always been the same .

When I called the other day and they said 3-4 week wait still , that’s now in my head and I will be calling dead on the end of 4 weeks from when I called .

It’s stressful isn’t it. 16 weeks today. I know it won’t be at least until next week but I wake up every night more than once checking my phone
