Scan date 23/11 been told yesterday that was in a holding pile what does this mean

mummyof3girlsx · 05/03/2024 18:31

Heyyy just me again 👋🏼 do we know how long UC takes once it’s with a DM? I notified them on Friday x

Hi everyone, I’m new to this but been reading for a couple of weeks.
scan date is 29/11.
I sent extra info in on Thursday and it was scanned yesterday. I called this afternoon (after being cut off 3 times) and was told it’s now with a decision maker.
How long are people usually waiting for a decision after being told it’s with a DM? X

It's so confusing as I've just seen someone on the fb page awarded, their scan date 16/11, but there's people here still waiting from late October/ very early November.

Lu2024 · 05/03/2024 19:29

@MLW92 I know, this is what I thought when I’ve been reading through. I didn’t think it’d be with a decision maker for at least another 2 weeks but the woman I spoke to today said it is. I wonder why some claims go through quicker than others?
Does anyone know the time frame of it being with a decision maker?

I’m sure from reading others comment, this means the stage before the decision maker, I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure

I’ve followed for a good few months and I think it’s a case of a bunch of cases goes to each DM and they work through their load. Some faster than others and therefore the dates end up being scattered. I think by the end of each month though, they all try to clear the backlog of that month and then the start of a new month lags due to that. This is just my observation.

A couple of things I've learned from waiting (and these threads) there is no logic to any order, sometimes it takes 4 mins to get through on the phone sometimes 2 hours and what they tell you on the phone could be compete bollocks!! 😂😂😂😂

No idea, but could you let us all know when yours goes through :)

Gemmaoscar · 05/03/2024 19:38

I think sometimes the time it takes depends on what evidence u send and if they need to contact schools doctors etc xx

My life has to be so structured and the thought of a government system running this disorderly makes me nervous 😂
I have no idea when to expect to hear something, I’m reading that people hear after a few days of being with a DM, some are a couple of weeks. What is everyone else’s experience with this?

It's varies on area and caseload I've had some backpayments take weeks some a few days!! Keep putting a notes on journal and put 'URGENT' at the top. That's a top tip 🫣😉

I’ve not sent much to be honest, I’ve sent an occupational therapy report, awaiting physio appointment, and the SEN lead from school has completed the section of someone who knows the child.
I have wrote that there is other things I haven’t been able to add, hearing tests, broken bones (due to potential hyper mobility) etc which I’ve lost the letter from but will be in my child’s medical notes. It’s so stressful isn’t it!

@Lu2024 I rang last Wednesday and it wasn't with a DM rang Monday after much encouragement from here and had been awarded if that helps at all

I know it probably doesn't but thought I would share 😂

3boysand2girls · 05/03/2024 19:46

Scan date 31/01 so long long way to go for me but been following since part 26. Congrats on every award today and so sorry for declines. MR it and keep fighting. Today's comments have had me in fits off giggles from Dean who loses everyone's shit (possibly mine also cos he signed for mine ) to pam and Dave who are clearly complete arse holes to them all talking complete bollocks 🤣🤣🤣 what can say lol I hope there is still a group of ppl like yourselves when my date comes to part 125 🤣

Anything Is helpful at this point tbh… even if it’s only hope 😂
I’m mindful that I don’t want to keep phoning but if it’s with a DM today, I might call on Friday or Monday…
and to anyone asking about letters/texts
I've only received one letter and 0 texts and apparently my child’s claim is with a DM (but who knows) 😂 . I think it’s so different for everyone

I’m on hold - 45 mins in…
22/11 so dnt think it’s gona have moved but I didn’t get a text like others around my date so I’m curious about that 🤔

I got a text last week and my scan date is 16/11, so guess you should have a text this week as you're a week behind me?

STEPH691 · 05/03/2024 20:17

@bonz2023 am ok I think. Just seeing other people before my date being awarded is making me nervous 😬. Think am going to leave ringing tomorrow and wait till Thursday. Maybe leaving it a day will give me some luck 😂😂 xx

Gemmaoscar · 05/03/2024 20:17

@Lu2024 I didn’t send much only referal letters and senci from nursery they didn’t contact anyone and we got payment today I had no text to say he was awarded and I never rang cause I was too scared of a decline xx

I'm really concerned about my claim I didn't send any evidence as I didn't have any (still finding hosp stuff from move) he has been diagnosed with asthma and in the pathway to autism, he says about 15 words he's 3 years old, he's in a send nursery full time and I rang to update my information as had his speech and language progress report back (states he is significantly delayed and needs support) but would they have gotten the information from the hosps? (he is with 4) or will I have to do a MR and send the paperwork once I find it? He has a second hearing test booked I wrote so much in the forms but concerned I have to wait a longer period due to a MR as his asthma wouldn't be enough to qualify (even though he was ventilated Nov 2022 he was 1 and 11 months) anyone simular? I need a little hope

When was your scan date? It's better to send in any evidence that can support your claim, especially if in early weeks of waiting.

Do you mind me asking what you was awarded?
and also does anyone know how difficult it is to be awarded HRM? My child refuses to walk if longer than 5/10 minutes (but will happily walk around a park to play) and the GP and other healthcare professionals suspect he has hyper mobility, he falls all the time and has broke 3 bones already (2 of them being at school), he’s only 4 so it’s quite concerning

Hey, have you tried contacting your gp? All of my sons referrals and test results have been sent to my sons gp so I requested it all from them and they printed it out so I could send it all off. It might be worth a try to ask them.
