I’ve been doing these for years I’ve had knock backs been to tribunal which are brutal by the way… I think it depends on who you get. Are they a stickler jobsworth, are they sympathetic have they actually had a child with disabilities or send?? Do they work fast or want to contact all your supporting evidence? There will be some DM who cut corners and some who want blood haha but I don’t think there’s an actual system. If there is it’s male run/designed coz a woman would have it whipped into shape haha

@Kkh1 no if you do that UC will take it all off you carer element is something different that is offered through UC and that won’t affect your UC money hope this helps I will send a few things through with this so u have a better understanding hope this helps x

Thank you so so I just ask for the carers element in my journal ? A change my circumstances to carer an ask for this to be backdated ? Do I ask for the disabled child element also ?

Scan date 4/11 was awarded last week (don't know why mine was quicker) .
Received letter today and she's got a four year award im so pleased I don't have to go through this again for a few years.

Was in queue for 1hr 17mins, they answered just before 5pm and couldn't hear me, so frustrated my phone was fine 😫🤷‍♀️

How many weeks are you all since you called for the forms wonder if that plays a part to when they go to the dm as mine was 20 weeks yesterday x

I rang up for form in August but didn’t arrive so called again for another the date stamped on in is 29th September so if awarded will be from that date. I also have a renewal in for son his is due to expire end of April so hopefully pull finger out so that’s sorted before it runs out.

@Geordiemam33 the renewal will be done before your claim is due to end they likely make a decision 2 weeks before claim is due to end I did mine in November & sent back a few days later for a claim due to end in march and rang at the beginning of Feb as hadn’t heard anything and was so worried they told me he had been awarded again I would ring up middle of march to find out about renewal x

@Emma2345 ahh smashing thank you. Hopefully get awarded longer this time with full diagnosis ect pain in the bum havnt to apply every 2 years.

@Sunflower1808 am sure it was the end of September can’t remember or start of October. I sent my sons renewal off the same time. That was done in December wasn’t due to end till end of Jan.

@bonz2023 babe this forum is driving me mental 😂 I am obsessed.. refreshing every minute 🙈 I have no idea! All I know is the lady I spoke to yday was lovely she had worked for them for 14 years, she went into all the new employees etc and said they are working at 16 weeks till it hits dm.. I’m 16 weeks this week, she then counted my weeks & told me it will be going to dm this week so I’m gonna wait till I suppose next week and call again 🙄 xx

But is it 16 weeks from when you call for forms or 16 weeks from scan date...with the info on here it's hard to know what to believe 😂😂😂
