Mummybabies2 · 22/02/2024 08:27

It’s been 2 weeks I did a coc on UC about my dla award and disabled child element/carers element to be back dated .still not heard anything or message from UC

Gracie1909 · 22/02/2024 08:29

Uc havnt got back to me yet and it's been 3 weeks. It's so slow the process

Soph1517 · 22/02/2024 08:29

I bad to wait 3 months for UC to make a decision on backdating. I got it in the end but it wasn't quick.

Thank you for working it out. Honestly can’t believe he’s been awarded after thinking for so long it will be declined. Xx

Sorry I must've got the weeks mixed up still high rate care low rate mobility 👍

Don't forget to update UC as it's another £456 a month payment

Ah thank you.

I phoned for the forms 29/08 and scan date was 12/10 (should have been back by 10/10) but I phoned to tell them that I’d sent them off in plenty time.

Applied for 15yr old with ASD & Dyspraxia. X

so pleased for you 👏🏻
im thinking maybe I should just call and explain why the forms were 5 days late. I sent a reply to their letter but that will likely take 2 weeks for them to receive it🤣
called for forms 30/08
scan date 16/10 🤞

mummyof3girlsx · 22/02/2024 08:59

@Leeuk1 I haven’t got a decision yet but what do you do with UC? I’m new to this, i work and earn over the £139 a week so won’t get caters but is there something else? X

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 22/02/2024 08:59

@Sallyt7110 I would def call and tell them why. They’ll put a note on the system for the DM. You know what they’re like, could take months to scan the letter on! 😂

Let me know if you call and what they say xx

Ah I can’t claim UC. I work part time and earn too much for carers as well. Is there anything else to look at, what he can get? It’s all new to me.

Are you sure just added up on benefits checker eligibility even if you earn 30k a year they just deducted some of your earnings

sjm100 · 22/02/2024 09:19

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 Congratulations, I'm so happy for you! Definitely look into claiming UC, I work 32 hrs a week hubby works full time and we get UC xx

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 22/02/2024 09:20

@Leeuk1 I live with my partner and we both work. Although I’m off on long term sick at the moment. I checked before I knew about DLA and I couldn’t claim. Does DLA allow you to earn more and claim UC? Can you tell I haven’t got a clue?! 😂

Katelouise05 · 22/02/2024 09:23

Congratulations on everyone awarded.my scan date is 01/11. Rang yesterday for an update, she said it's taking 16 weeks which was 16 weeks for me yesterday but she said not with a DM yet x

Really? I honestly haven’t got a clue. I’m going to have to have a look into it. I dropped my hours to 17 but are all over the place tbh because of things at home. Im off for a bit now though. I’ll have a look today. Is there a good site to check on?

Soph1517 · 22/02/2024 09:23

Just spoke to a lovely lady, my sons claim has gone to a CM today. Now I wonder how long until I hear back, not feeling hopeful I can't lie.
Scan date 27/10

Yes DLA does make a difference, especially hight rate, I'm not on UC yet but when I hopefully get awarded for my son I will be going on it and if you check onlone benefits calculator it will show you what your entitled to as my partner works and when I have checked and as soon as we win this award I'm giving up work as I need to be my sons career it's too much hard work, we would still have benefits on there high income aswell

Sammyjane26x · 22/02/2024 09:31

How do you if you have been awarded or declined? I've only ever had 2 letters said was with cm yesterday thanks x
