Does anyone have an idea on how long it will be to receive the letter after being awarded?

@mummyof3girlsx Don’t be worried about not sending enough evidence my friend got awarded for her little boy with out him having a diagnosis and she sent no evidence at all and still got the award he deserved 😊 x

In 2019, my eldest son was awarded MRC LRM just from the form alone, I sent no extra evidence. He was awaiting diagnosis then. I am quite a blunt speaking person so i literally wrote how it is on the form. They said it depends on what is described on the form and how much more care they need compared to other children the same age. Awarded till 2025.

This time is for my 2nd son ( completely different issues ) but Ive sent the form well filled out, extra info. Sleep diary. Paediatric appointments, notes. Test results, diagnosis... and I'm more worried this time its going to be a decline.

Scan date 20/10.

@Debs243 @LCB261 thank you that makes me feel a little bit better. It’s so tough isn’t it, there’s so much to think of and it becomes so overwhelming. Will keep you all updated scan date 2/11 going to dm this week x

OMG just checked my bank (as per usual thinking nothing would be there) and I’ve had a payment from DWP DLA! I honestly cannot believe it! I’ve no idea what rates though. How do I work it out or is anyone good at that stuff? I’m in total shock!!

We got awarded!
Scan date 24/10, 2 letters 1 text and got backpay in account this morning! Still got to calculate what rates but think it's LRC + LRM, for ASD 11 year old! So happy for my boy! Hang on in there people!

The amount - £10 Xmas bonus, then divide by the amount of weeks its been since you called for forms xx

@LCB261 the payment was £3226.25 but I don’t even know what the rates are when I’ve worked it out. Would you or anyone be able to work it out for me please? I’m in shock and don’t know my arse from my elbow! 😂

@WhereDidTheTimeGo888 it's 3216.25 with the £10 Christmas bonus off.
So 3216 ÷ 25 is £128.65 a week which works out to high rate care and low rate mobility.
Hrc - 101.75 weekly
Lrm - 26.90 weekly

I phoned for the forms 29/08 and scan date was 12/10 (should have been back by 10/10) but I phoned to tell them that I’d sent them off in plenty time.

Applied for 15yr old with ASD & Dyspraxia. X

I’m not that lucky. Think I’ll have to apply for PIP soon. Especially if it takes as long as DLA.
