DLA wait times 2023 Part 10

hi thought i'd start a new thread as the last one is completely full and won't let me post.

Well I've just spoken to a very understanding man on the phone who confirmed that my daughters application is with the decision making team and I should hear within the next 3 weeks which would take us up to 16 weeks.
I told him I would like to make a formal complaint about the inordinately long wait times and he assured me he would make that known and pass it along as soon as we were off the phone.

@PLJ44 Just checked my own, definitely 6 weeks. Received request 12/4 had until 24/5 to send back.
They got them 30/5 although I posted them on 18/05!

@Cshan I’m the same! I sent the form on the 6th June. 10 weeks of waiting so far 🫣😩

No updates...still waiting .... fingers crossed we hear this week at some point

My scan date is the 26/4 I rang this morning and its now with a decision maker and was told any day now for an out come so fingers crossed.

Oh that is really positive news @Vb32, so it’s really around the 17 week waiting mark

Just editing my previous comment slightly. My scan date was the 23rd of May.

I was awarded on Friday, called today about rates (a renewal) and my son has been awarded middle rate care & also lower rate mobility this time around! 🙌🏼

So we waited 12 weeks in total.

Yes, I maintained middle rate care but I’ve managed to get my son on lower rate mobility now he is 5.

Yes, I keep checking my bank balance too in case that's the first I know about it. I wonder if they do payments during the day or whether they always appear in the morning from the day before..... 🤔

I would imagine it would go in, in the morning when payments usually go in. They told you it was going to dm this week didn’t they @EB82

@Muva306 they said it was in the final holding queue for the DM so it could go that day but could also be waiting into this week. It basically was just waiting for the 1st DM to become available

On fb, seeing some 24/04 and 26/05 with decisions. Seems no logical sequence here.
I've had to snooze the page and I'll keep it at back of my mind until beginning of October...
Hope you hear something this week and fingers crossed it's what the kids deserve 😊

People have actually commented on the may ones, asking if it's renewal, special circumstances etc and no. It just adds to my anxiety and, to be honest, filled my news feed so I've snoozed it for now.
Horrible feeling DS will be turned down and the forms alone were difficult, never mind fighting it 😔

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them. Not necessary for such a long wait but it just put me on edge waiting for news.

Oh god yeah, it would feel really disheartening!! I’m so skeptical about things, I’d read 1/2 of them and think they were just having people on.

The ones on Facebook don't always ask which country they in either and the wait is not as long in the others, NI especially quick it seems. Where abouts is everyone from on here? We could all be neighbours 😂 I'm in County Durham
