DLA wait times 2023 Part 10

JimnJoyce · 21/07/2023 10:43

hi thought i'd start a new thread as the last one is completely full and won't let me post.

Well I've just spoken to a very understanding man on the phone who confirmed that my daughters application is with the decision making team and I should hear within the next 3 weeks which would take us up to 16 weeks.
I told him I would like to make a formal complaint about the inordinately long wait times and he assured me he would make that known and pass it along as soon as we were off the phone.

@Chloe1233 I notified them I was awarded on the 20.07 and I'm getting my payment tomorrow. Nearly 4 weeks hope this helps.

Ahh good I reported mine on the 31st and today I got a message from them about why I've told them late and it will go to a decision maker so hopefully I won't have to wait long

Hi I'm looking for so help, woke up to a payment of £2,187.05 applied for DLA for my daughter and been awarded. Rang on 26/4 scanned on 4/5 I'm just wondering if anyone can help with what award she's been given? Thanks

EB82 · 16/08/2023 07:21

Wow congrats @sulley83 that's was quick. Can't help with the rates as I don't know what they are sorry 🫣

CoffeeLover90 · 16/08/2023 07:38

@sulley83 I've tried to work it out but I'm a few pounds off with high care and low mobility, miles off with the others. If you ring they should be able to tell you.

Lo89 · 16/08/2023 09:11

So waiting on MR just called for an update. She said it has been assigned but the person has asked for medical guidance from someone else before making a decision and that person hasn't got back to them yet.
😩 I've sent all my note from paediatrician is this them escalating to someone internally? If anyone has any experience ?
Thanks

Jt1985 · 16/08/2023 09:29

@Lo89 im not sure with mine, but tbh I very much doubt they asked for any additional information from any professionals as it was to fast! Good luck! If you don’t get the result you are waiting for take them all the way! As most cases will be overturned!

Lo89 · 16/08/2023 13:34

Yea I think it is from their department medical professionals. I'm only at 3 weeks today so I'll give it another week 🤞🏽

Muva306 · 16/08/2023 13:54

Oh fantastic news @sulley83 did you call up regarding rates? Did you call for the from 26/4 and have it sent out, filled in and posted back with a scan date of 4/5 - if so, you are 1 quick cookie!! The form took me ages to complete

Soph194 · 16/08/2023 16:25

Was this for a new claim? That’s my scan date 4/5 I been told not with DM yet won’t hear untill end august/ begging September 😭 well done x

Same scan date 4/5 I called this morning he said not long to go now should be with dm end of august

Muva306 · 16/08/2023 16:37

Have you heard anything @EB82?

mooneigh · 16/08/2023 16:38

Regarding my message last night. I phoned today and my MR had been scanned in so that was good. He said it should go to a DM in about 2 weeks time. Hoping and praying it goes to a good DM this time. 🙏 good luck everyone.

EB82 · 16/08/2023 16:47

No not heard a thing @Muva306 16 weeks tomorrow so it's got to be any day now surely 😮‍💨

PLJ44 · 16/08/2023 18:54

@Muva306 @EB82 I've still not heard either (27/04). Sneakily observing from holiday and getting frustrated at all the May AND JUNE dates going through 😢

EB82 · 16/08/2023 19:13

Yes I know @PLJ44 it's horrible seeing later ones getting decisions. I will ring in the morning and update you both @Muva306

Muva306 · 16/08/2023 19:21

Yes please do update us…. You are a hero @EB82 taking 1 for the team and calling!! I wonder what the timescales are tomo 🫠🫠

EB82 · 16/08/2023 19:38

@Muva306 I dread to think 🙈

sulley83 · 16/08/2023 19:42

Yep, i called 26/4 they arrived and sent back a day later and was scanned on 4/5 had all evidence ready to go. I rang 2 weeks ago to check they had received further evidence I sent and they told me on the phone I'd be looking at 18-20 weeks for a decision but shockingly had payment today, rang and it's hrc and lrm.

Soph194 · 16/08/2023 20:02

I’m going to cave and call again tomorrwo
cos that’s the same scan as me lol I think there going to get peed off with me because I phoned Monday 😂

Muva306 · 16/08/2023 20:41

What timescales did they give you Monday @Soph194

Soph194 · 16/08/2023 20:43

End of august beginning of September, I’m 15 weeks tmrw and they said they have changed it to 17.5 weeks 😭

Melaniej92 · 17/08/2023 08:53

Is anyone waiting still on a claim from may? They received my stuff on 2/5 and Tuesday just gone would’ve been my 15 weeks but I still haven’t heard anything?

PLJ44 · 17/08/2023 09:28

@Melaniej92 There's plenty of us still waiting for a claim from April so I wouldn't panic just yet 😉

Snoweymum · 17/08/2023 12:34

I rang this morning after over a 15 week wait to be told end of September! She said don't worry you'll be backdated but the Money isn't even the issue. My issue is I want to be able to care for my son. His nursery got extra funding for him and he has a ehcp for school in September but knowing my luck I'll be the one who gets no extra help for him.

EB82 · 17/08/2023 15:40

@PLJ44 @Muva306 so I rang today and was told mine is in the last holding queue for the DM. She said it could go today but also could go next Tuesday so didn't want to give me a date. She said hopefully it will be completed sometime next week but a max of 2 weeks depending how long it is with the DM.
