DLA wait time 2022 Part 3

Scan date 12 April, with a DM, no sign of a decision yet.

So I rang again today baring in mind they told me Monday should have a decision by the end of the week. That they are now working on 12-14 weeks for new claims should hear by the end of the month. I litrally think they fill you with any old patter lol, every time you call it’s a different line.

Mine has been declined. Very shocked. Sent tons of evidence including EHCP consultant letters heart scans, medication lists and lots of extra evidence, lists of paediatricians she sees every 2 months , I’m absolutely shocked.

It will be 2023 before I hear anything about my sons lol his scan date was 14th July lol

@JonjoMonjo21 what was your scan date and that’s really weird. My sister got it for my niece with no diagnosis and only a letter from cahms x

19th may. I’m doing MR but as u say it’s very weird must depend on case manager

Sometimes it’s a case of how the form has been filled. Did you get help filling it out? Sorry your experiencing this.

@JonjoMonjo21 how old is she if you don’t mind me asking? Sometimes it’s a lot harder when they are under 5 x

She’s 7, yes I had help even off my doctor filling out the form. I just feel it’s very unfair she’s got so many health conditions. And I just really felt she deserved this.

@2under2and1more did u do MR and how did it go? Also devastated here x

Just rang for a update as on 11.5 week said no decision made yet and working the week befor the 30th of May so might be a few more weeks grrr

Has any one had there’s back scan date 26th May?

We sent our application off last week, and we were hoping for a smooth process, marked on the calendar the 2 week and 8 week deadlines … then I found this thread 🙈 ….

We are really nervous. Our little boy deserves this so much, but he has only just turned 2.

Hi all, sorry to jump on the thread. I sent my sons application off and we’ve just got the letter to say they got it on 02/08/2022. Is this the scanned date? Or is it the date the actual letter was sent to me that I count from? Which was 11th august?

i like how they still have written in the letter ‘ if you have not heard from us within eight weeks, please feel free to contact us’
when quite clearly there are not working to those time estimates anymore!

I am the same date and still waiting. Calling them now, so happy to share an update if I get through.

I called last week they said it’s 12wks so should here something this week

@NatashaSmith they said 7-10 days for me last week. Today is Day 7. I hate hounding them, but I just want to know.

@Kmcx93 yes your scan date is 02/08 the date they received but if your child qualifies it’s backdated from the date you rang to order form.

@NatashaSmith Just spoken to them and they said they are working up to the 24th this week. Scan dates of the 26th are likely to be reviewed on Monday or Tuesday next week, with a decision by next Friday. Hope that helps!

If your claim gets declined do they text or send a letter?

I would imagine you receive a letter if declined and not a text.

Hi, am after some advice please. Was late sending my sons renewal form back. His claim ended on 29th May but they didn’t receive the form till 21st June. Do you think they will still treat this as a renewal or a new claim? Have received the letter saying sorry they haven’t made a decision yet and I know from looking on here that it’s taking at least 12 weeks for decision making. Just wondering if they’ll go from the scan date or renewal date?
