Scanner20 · 01/06/2022 13:01

How many days did people wait for payment after a text? Thought 3 days from Monday might have cleared today by bacs

Sarah3587 · 01/06/2022 13:06

@Ltb17 no we didn’t challenge, we we’re given a blue badge by the council and a wheelchair and buggy so were content with at the time as I had a decent car didn’t think it was worth fighting for the sake of an extra £80 a week.

We're waiting together...it's driving me slightly mad (I keep checking my banking app in case of pending payment! 🤦‍♀️) at this stage. It doesn't help that at least two people were apparently awarded from 5 April on the Facebook group last week!

My receipt date was 18 may and I’ve already had award it seems to random, this was a renewal though

Hopeful110 · 01/06/2022 14:03

So has anyone had a decision made for their claim scanned 23rd march yet?? The woman last week implied it would be with DM by today :/

Sarah3587 · 01/06/2022 14:34

@Hopeful110 mine was scanned march 23rd too. I’m just on the phone waiting so will let you know!

Sarah3587 · 01/06/2022 15:05

Scanned 23rd march. Been allocated to be look at on ‘overtime’ at the weekend. Decision should be made by early next week.

StormySam · 01/06/2022 15:11

@Sarah3587 I wonder why mine isn't in the overtime pile. Was scanned 9th March and I was just told I should have a decision in 10 days time. Weird.

Sarah3587 · 01/06/2022 15:21

@StormySam perhaps they’re awaiting replies from school, doctors etc.

Renewals do tend to be much quicker, from what I've seen.

I rang today for give my new bank details. I was told it's about a 9 week wait to go to DM by the lovely lady I spoke to.

Well I think I nay have just broken the world for renewal time. Sent about 2.5 weeks ago. Got letter today acknowledging receipt on 18 may, letter dated 24 may

opened next letter and it was the award also dated 24 may. We got middle rate care and lower rate mobility which is whst we had before

Wow that’s so quick! Do you mind me asking when the actual renewal was meant to be please? Just sent mine but renewal isn’t until Aug

Indr · 01/06/2022 17:53

My scan date 15th March rang yesterday and with DM sed should have know by monday

Hopeful110 · 01/06/2022 19:03

@Sarah3587 ahhh thanks! Hopefully we will both have a decision by early next week then! I'll call them on Monday to find out if any update! :)

It was may, so I was right on the renewal left it very late and was fully expecting to have to go without for several months and then get a back payment

This fits with renewals being looked at in relation to when the claim runs out rather than the date the form is returned. I returned DS3’s fairly quickly, good to get it out of the way in one sense but means a long wait.

Ltb17 · 01/06/2022 19:35

@Sarah3587 ahh I see, I was just curious if you challenged it and they still declined you as from what you've said I'm surprised you were not awarded it. I am fathomed by the way they award people I really am. Are you going to try for it or will you just wait for renewal?

@Nicky80catri hopefully you'll get a text in the next few days, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Ihatethecoldinmybones · 02/06/2022 00:34

new here, my daughters was scanned 18th of March and still no news, called Monday to be told it’s with a DM.

Ilovetea13 · 02/06/2022 08:22

Hi! Where are they saying they're up to now (with scan dates) I haven't rang yet but I'm on week 10 (31st March) xx

Ltb17 · 02/06/2022 08:31

@Ilovetea13 your 9 weeks at the moment, it's counted from the day it's scanned. I'm 23rd march, called yesterday was told I'm at 10 weeks and looking at another 2. Mines in overtime pile whatever that meant lol

Hi can I join? My scan date was also 23rd March. New claim for my 11yr old daughter. It's a long story, she caught covid in September and it caused a neurological reaction, she couldn't walk or eat and ended up in intensive care. Then she suffered psychosis and went into a deep coma like sleep for 6 weeks. She finally woke up just before christmas. But she is only awake 6 hours a day, can only walk about 10 steps. Can't do anything for herself and uses a wheelchair fulltime. She has ptsd and is waiting a stepping stones tutor with a view to going to a specialist school for children with mental health and medical needs. But her ot has said she is not ready for that. She can't even brush her own hair. We are waiting to move into a bungalow because her bed is in the living room and I sleep downstairs with her. She's been diagnosed with ME. Hoping we get mobility.

I last rang Wednesday last week and was told to ring in back in two weeks.
