I also don't understand why I have even recieved a text (not that I'm complaining!) As all other contact has been through letters that arrive like 2 weeks later than when they sent them 🤣

I do hope it's good news for you guys also! Like even if it turns out low rate care or whatever, as upsetting as that would be as I've seen others get more for less if you get me, like play on their children's diagnosis or claim to have something they don't or even just lack of evidence and rhey get high rate, I'll just be glad for anything at this point! As it has all been just such a degrading feeling and stress this whole process, now I can chill and know I can better his life a little more.

update from me guys, woke up yesterday morning with money in the bank. Scan date according to the letter was 7th however I was later told it was the date the letter was sent which was 15th April. I received £924.00, no text and due to being at work I was unable to call them. However I’m thinking this is HRC based on scan date of the 7th which is exactly 10 weeks. Does this sound correct? I’ve let universal credit know, do they backdate any money owed or is it just going forward? I’m new to all of this so not sure of these things. My fingers are crossed for all you guys still waiting to hear that you hear soon and that the decision is what you are hoping for 🤞🏼 Just also want to say Thankyou to you all because this thread has kept me sane :)

That seems right for 10 weeks, yes. Though 10 weeks would make the award 16 June. Hopefully the letter will make it clearer.

I don't know much about UC though, sorry.

@Tasha2020 once you know the date the DLA was awarded and what rate then you should do change of circumstances on UC. I’m sure it’s section who lives with you and update your child has DLA from date award has started and rate. Then leave a journal message asking for it to be sent to decision marker to backdate UC to dla start date as only just been awarded so couldn’t update them sooner. Usually be a few weeks for backdated amount to be paid and increase should start from next payment if you notify them in enough time for next payment.

I only rang on Thursday. I feel I should leave it a week to ring again. It's soooooooo hard though (even though I technically don't have time to ring anyway!).

I rang Friday 🙈 but I have heard of people ringing almost every day when it's been 10 weeks+ so at least I'm not that bad 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 (that's what I keep telling myself anyway) plus it's 11 weeks now, surely we should hear something in next few days?🤷🏻‍♀️

She originally told me end of June but I assume it's running behind.
