Aww no bless you it’s hard work isn’t it. Think eventually the body just gets soo used to it that it becomes less effective. Hopefully you’ll find something that works for you so you can actually sleep

Boymummax · 22/06/2022 12:14

I have just called to make sure my MR was received last week, they confirmed it was received and scanned on the 17th of june and without asking, she said MR'S are taking between 3 and 4 weeks at the moment but can be quicker, she said if I haven't heard in 3 weeks to call back.
So fingers crossed won't be waiting passed the 4 weeks!

Hammers91 · 22/06/2022 12:52

Just spoke to a lovely lady as it’s been 12 weeks, form scanned on 8th April according to my letter yet on their end it was the 10th🤷‍♀️ But anyway she said they are working on up to the 10th this week so should hear by end of next week as mines with a case manager. I asked if I could receive the decision by text message and she said yes of course & put it on my claim..

held off ringing for so long & was constantly checking my bank as seen so many awarded for early April, hands were fully shaking the whole call because it’s such a daunting time not knowing & these people determine if you need to fight again on MR or you can start helping your child more with the additional money.

Kirstiiee · 22/06/2022 13:32

i phoned today due to seeing people on Facebook group getting awarded who are after me.
they received my claim form on 22nd April and said it could be another 3 weeks yet.
hate the waiting.
I will be receiving my oldest renewal pack soon as well 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Bizzlemizzle · 22/06/2022 18:14

@Kirstiiee honestly, take your time with the renewal. I did myself no favours by sending it off really early. Been a horrible wait as we have had so much change this year already.

They work slightly differently and won't look at your form until close to your renewal date. If I had known I would have taken a lot more time with it. Mine is mid July and it hadn't been looked at last Friday and due to go to a dm this week.

Kirstiiee · 22/06/2022 18:32

Thankyou for the advice, I will definitely take my time. Xx

Indr · 22/06/2022 19:43

can Anyone help once you have updated COC on universal credit and you have had a note stating this has been passed to a decision maker for backdated disability element how long after did you hear or receive payment

Td109 · 22/06/2022 19:54

@Indr i updated UC on the 6th June, had a response on the 8th and the back payment was in my acct on the 10th June so was really quick for me.

Indr · 22/06/2022 21:21

Yes really quick I informed them on the 10th June only had a message back today saying been passed to decision maker and unable to give me a time scale not in any rush my end just wanted see other people experiences thank you @Td109

Agree with this. Mine ran out in may and I didn’t send the form in until may fully expecting I’d have to go without payment for a few months but it was turned around in two weeks

Bizzlemizzle · 23/06/2022 09:21

They need an online service, it would be so much more beneficial to everyone.

Somewhere to add evidence or coc, even if it just gave you status updates on where your claim was.

It baffles me how some of these larger organisations are so far behind with the times.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/06/2022 09:46

It's crazy, isn't it @Bizzlemizzle? Online would be so much more efficient.

Polly421 · 23/06/2022 10:12

@Bizzlemizzle I totally agree my daughter gets DLA and we applied earlier in year for my son but we had to apply for the Scottish version and it was much easier. Forms all online, you could do some save it and go back then when it was completed I uploaded our evidence and when I had to send in more I just uploaded some more online. They also have a web-chat team so handier to go on there to ask for update. Also when you call them they ask do you want to save you spot in queue and they will call you back. I did this yesterday and they called back 20 minute later. I think in time the DWP may take note of how they do it as for me it was an easier process. There form was so much simpler didn’t ask for minutes it take etc just the help they need and in the evidence section they have a few question like do you need help from them obtaining supporting evidence.

Bizzlemizzle · 23/06/2022 10:18

@Polly421 Hopefully they will because the current system and service is terrible. The minutes and time thing really got me - it's very rare we time things but I had to spend some time actually doing it and when you've had a battle it's not always easy to remember those sort of details.

I struggle with writing forms due to dyslexia and the one online to download and print was different to the one I received in the post so I didn't want to download and type in case it was wrong.

Polly421 · 23/06/2022 10:36

@Bizzlemizzle they are getting busier now and wait times are just the same. When ours got to a case manager he called and asked if I could upload a document to confirm my son received his new aid and I did. He told me then once it was uploaded he will make decision in a couple of days so I felt like they cared more before deciding award to make sure they had everything they needed. So when my daughter is due her DLA review next year I am hoping she will have transferred to them before. They have also started doing if you have a review and don’t agree with the award just say it’s been lowered and you want to appeal you can apply for them to continue to pay you at higher rate and they will take it back from your backdated payment if you appeal is successful and if your appeal isn’t successful won’t expect the payment back. To me it a far better way of doing it I think.

Rose1919 · 23/06/2022 13:02

Twinmummyanda7yearold · 23/06/2022 15:41

Any news yet from the 12th April club? 🙈🤣

Hammers91 · 23/06/2022 15:50

@Twinmummyanda7yearold I’m the 10th ( despite letter saying 8th 🤷‍♀️ ) rang yesterday still nothing - it’s honestly so draining and plays on your anxiety so much. Gut feeling we’ll be turned down, really never get any luck.

Twinmummyanda7yearold · 23/06/2022 16:03

@Hammers91 I know exactly what you mean 😩 well they're working upto 10th this week so hopefully you'll get your decision very soon 🤞🏼 have you rang at all?

Hammers91 · 23/06/2022 16:36

@Twinmummyanda7yearold rang yesterday and she was so lovely and said mine was with a case manager and to ring back next week, I did ask to receive a text if awarded and she said she’d put that on my claim.

just so nervous as took me weeks to fill in and sent so much evidence. Will be gutted if refused as I know someone who sent just 1 bit of evidence & basically lied on the whole form yet got HRC but then again she’s very well know for lying & making out there’s things wrong with her kids when there isn’t.
