Oaks that’s fine I have messaged them so will wait and see. It’s been backdated from 28th February. How much extra is it they give u my child got middle rate care

Indr · 15/06/2022 15:00

@Legofigure you don’t need HRM to get a blue badge I was awarded a blue badge before I was even awarded DLA

Indr · 15/06/2022 15:00

@Legofigure you don’t need HRM to get a blue badge I was awarded a blue badge before I was even awarded DLA

I know, I didn’t say you did need HRM for a blue badge. I said only HRM automatically qualifies for a blue badge, and with LRM you would still need to go through the assessment process so the poster didn’t need to wait for the confirmation letter of LRM to apply for a blue badge.

Polly421 · 15/06/2022 15:28

@Willowoo i think for middle care it’s around £130 something per month extra.

NovaaStormx · 15/06/2022 18:00

No text or anything but looks like I've been awarded as got £267.45 from themmin the account today. (Only just checked so will call tomorrow) presuming that's no mobility and LRC) which given I don't have any diagnosis and we haven't even been referred to paediatrician yet I'm happy. Scan date was 24th March. My Daughter has speech and language delay and a short attention span so need 121 support to keep her on task..given she is only 3 I am happy! Thank you all for your help and support and for keeping me sane 🥰

Indr · 15/06/2022 18:21

@Legofigure so sorry is totally misread your post

@Willowoo how did you contact Uc was it by phone or on your journal? Also once requested how long did it take for backpay? Do you know how much extra it is for HRC and LRM thank you

Indr · 15/06/2022 18:23

@Polly421 I was asking you sorry not @Willowoo

Well you are very lucky they have looked at it so quickly. They have had my son's forms since beginning of April

Boymama831 · 15/06/2022 20:03

Yes I definitely am, I did expect it to take a while longer. I’m in NI though so that may be the reason if you live somewhere else. I hope yours is sorted soon

Amberautumn12 · 15/06/2022 20:07

@Hammers91 ive sent all his eegs letters and results and mri letters , letter of his diagnosis temporal lobe epilepsy and letters of medications haven’t sent anything from school as he only started new school End of March what kind of epilepsy does your child have mine has temporal lobe which is focal impaired awareness seizures and he’s had a few grand mals (tonic clonic ) I don’t no if children with epilepsy can get dla I’ve seen a lot be refused it

sulli19 · 15/06/2022 20:09

If my son is awarded do I have ring child tax to inform them or are they automatically told? I can't remember if I rang them over my daughter to inform them as it was 6 and half years ago.

I rang last week Tuesday (scan date 13th april) I was told it was with decision make but in a pile waiting to be looked at they was currently on 29th/30th March. I was told would be up to two weeks before they would be looking at his. So I can ring next week but so tempted ring again tomorrow or Friday 🤦‍♀️ just so nervous, I feel I have filled out wrong or that iv missed things. X

SickKid · 15/06/2022 20:23

It's so inconsistent when they allocate/look at claims - mine was scanned 7th April and I also rang last Tuesday- was told not allocated to a dm yet! Plus, just to wind everyone up, on the fb page one person has been awarded from a May scan date and someone from 1st June!! 🤬 I don't understand how when they are supposedly working in date order! I get that some dms work quicker than others but surely they should take some of the older claims rather than being 2 months ahead of other dms. Grrr.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/06/2022 20:26

I saw that, @SickKid. I do sometimes wonder if they're on a wind up though! 🤷‍♀️Either that or they've accidentally been sent to a DM instead of the waiting pile.

I couldn't tell where mine was up to yesterday as sniffing man was super-evasive. The week before I was told likely to be next week. So who knows?!

Polly421 · 15/06/2022 20:53

@Indr I went on the journal did a change of circumstance of who lives with me updated my son now receive disability payment and inputted date of change as when his award started. Then I wrote journal message saying I had updated my circumstance about my son and wanted it to be sent to decision maker to have it backdated to to start of his claim. Explain could only notify them now as just found out he was awarded. It took about 2 weeks from me leaving journal to getting the backdated amount. It’s £414 odds for high care but was slightly lower before April think about £404. We received 3 months so just over £1200 we got backdated.

Hammers91 · 15/06/2022 21:17

@Amberautumn12 ive basically sent in everything you have apart from MRI as we have that in 2 weeks. He has absent seizures up to 15-20 a day, evening ones which have lasted 20 minutes so have resulted in being rushed to hospital, he complains of feeling sick, headaches & leg pain after them, he’s also had them in the middle of zebra crossings. He’s had many injuries due to his absences as they happen with warning 😢

I have also sent his CDC report as he’s on the pathway for ASD, they noticed him having 2 seizures during their assessment which they’ve stated in the report.

he has a heart device too.

someone I know got HRC just by sending in a epilepsy diagnosis report ( no seizure in 2 years ) but then again she’s also a very good liar so no doubt filled the form out not being very truthful. Have you phoned to see if claim has been looked at? I’m too anxious to.

Hammers91 · 15/06/2022 21:18

@SickKid i saw that too about such quick decisions, really gets my gears up!

You ring tax credits if awarded and say you’re in receipt of DLA you’ll need to tell them which rate though & ask for it to be backdated from the same date your DLA was.

Indr · 15/06/2022 21:25

@Polly421 thank you for that I have added a message and done cos did they respond on your journal if so how long was the reply I wrote to them in February and only got a reply back on the 8th of June (not to do with this) so wasn’t sure if to ring

Amberautumn12 · 15/06/2022 21:27

@Hammers91 my son has something like absence seizures that’s what I thought at first but he’s last long 4/5 mins a time , I no when he’s back I feel them the first thing he says is mommy I can’t hear and then he goes unresponsive and blacks out but he’s awake if you get me . He vomits , he hallucinates and he’s stomach goes very tense , he can’t hear or see us or speak than after he’s comes round but he has confusion for 15/20 mins which is called postical confusion but can speak but don’t no who anyone is , he’s had 2 fitting seizures aswell. I rang them Monday they said there working upto 4 th April and said to me wait 7/10 days it’s in the waiting que my scan dates was the 6th April

Polly421 · 15/06/2022 21:56

@Indr they got back to me the next day advisor said once they verified the change then she would sent to decision marker. A few days later she confirmed it had been verified and she sent it to decision marker to review. She advised it could take up to 28 days but after week we got a letter issued on our journal to state under special circumstance it would be backdated to 8th of March. Then following day girl who sent it to decision marker advised us of the amount and we would receive payment 3 days later.

Polly421 · 15/06/2022 21:58

@Indr if you don’t get a response on your journal I would definitely call. I’ve never waited that long for a reply it does seem to be the same girl who replies to me all the time for all different things I’ve posted on my journal.

Indr · 15/06/2022 22:14

Thank you I will leave it till Friday then the message has been on there for a week and if no reply will give them a call appreciate your help
