@gemma1988 No my dla claim was end of last year it took about 10/11 weeks so probably around the same time it’s taking now. I found my sons claim faster but it’s new in Scotland so probably not as many claims to deal with yet. As some point my daughter will transfer over to that when they start that process.

Hi everyone! I've checked my bank account this morning and I've had 1278.90 put in there off DLA 😁 . Have no clue what I've been awarded had no text or letter. My scan date was 31st of March and I rang for the forms on Feb the 28th so if it's backpay from then, it works out more or less mid rate care n low mobility. Had a cry when I saw it that's been a long 11 weeks.
My daughter has a very rare bone disorder(hereditary multiple exostoses) which affects her mobility and had had multiple operations already due to things that have arose(she has metal plates in her leg to straighten her leg and will be having another as one leg is longer ect), but she can walk for a while(slowly) until she needs to rest. If in the future her mobility declines do I update them and try for high rate mobility? She has autism aswell. But overall I'm happy with what we been given and I think it's about right for our circumstances at this moment in time.

Thank you guys 😊 the not knowing is absolutely awful ! I hope everybody gets there awards soon, so stressful not knowing what is going on or if your even going to get anything. They must be up to around the 31st of March now anyway xx

sanahtalha · 15/06/2022 08:10

Hi everyone, I checked my bank this morning hand I’ve had a payment of £944.10. They received the form on the 31st March so not sure how much it works out at (11 weeks) as I’ve not received any text or email. Will have to wait for the letter to see. 😊

Twinmummyanda7yearold · 15/06/2022 08:11

@sanahtalha Congratulations 🥳

SickKid · 15/06/2022 08:31

@Ilovetea13 @sanahtalha great news! I'd guess you were both awarded Friday then if money has gone in today, so fingers crossed that means they're working on April this week!

Ilovetea13 · 15/06/2022 08:56

@sanahtalha Congrats hun ! Finally the wait is over! I'm so confused with the rates! Did u ring for the forms or just print off and send? Xx

sanahtalha · 15/06/2022 09:13

@Ilovetea13 thanks! I printed and sent and they received it on the 31st so it’s from that date. Xx

gemma1988 · 15/06/2022 09:14

I'm on hold now. Dont know why I do this to myself 😭

Willowoo · 15/06/2022 09:17

Good morning everyone so good to see so many people with there awards. I contacted UC yesterday about my daughters award. When do they back date the payment to is it the date on ur dla form?

gemma1988 · 15/06/2022 09:33

Not even with a DM yet. Working on claims from 4th April. My scan date was 6th. She told me 2 more weeks.

Ilovetea13 · 15/06/2022 09:37

@sanahtalha I think we might have the same then, sounds like low rate mobility and mid rate care.. I think i've just got slightly more backpay because ive rang for my forms and they've paid me from that date and not from the 31st. You've been backpack from the 31st. Does work out at them rates when I've divided it but i could be wrong I usually am 😂 oh well at least the wait is over now I'm in a fab mood today 😁 xx

Ilovetea13 · 15/06/2022 09:40

@Willowoo I think I may of been backpack from the date I rang for my forms which was the 28th Feb so it depends if u rang for them or just printed n posted. I'm not 100percent though as I've not received a letter or text or anything yet will update everybody when I do xx

sanahtalha · 15/06/2022 09:40

@Ilovetea13 im happy if that’s the case as I didn’t think I’d get nobility for my son but we’ll see when the letter arrives. If so I’ll try applying for the blue badge also.

Ilovetea13 · 15/06/2022 09:41

Backpaid not backpack 😂😂 got an obsession with backpacks today I have x

Ilovetea13 · 15/06/2022 09:43

@sanahtalha
Yeah it's great that, i think it'll work out around 86 a week so whatever that is 4 weekly. Never thought about the badge might as well apply for that too x

SickKid · 15/06/2022 10:00

@gemma1988 I'm the 7th. Planning to ring Friday morning so will see if they say anything different then. From the fb group it seems last month it was taking 10 weeks and for April applications it's taking upto 12+. Wonder if there's been a sudden surge of applications in march/April??

Legofigure · 15/06/2022 10:30

If so I’ll try applying for the blue badge also.

Only HRM automatically qualifies for a blue badge, so you don’t need to wait for the DLA letter to apply for a blue badge because you will still go through the assessment process with LRM.

It seems like the march ones were looked at a lot faster. Let me know!

Hopeful110 · 15/06/2022 12:21

So finally after my claim being scanned 23rd March, and then having to wait for a reference number for my daughter, I rang this morning and been told its been allocated to a DM since 13th June! So hopefully a decision by end of next week, does anyone know if the term allocated means that a DM is currently looking at the claim? Or its in a pile for the DM to look at?

Uberstar · 15/06/2022 13:35

We’ve been awarded! HRC and LRM until 2027, it was decided yesterday, our scan date was 30th March. I was told to expect my backdated payment in the next few days.
I am so relieved it’s finally done and fully expected to have to fight for HRC despite my daughter being on dialysis at home (she has end stage renal failure and needs a transplant)
good luck to everyone waiting xx

Amberautumn12 · 15/06/2022 13:43

Hi has anyone been awarded for a child with epilepsy my scan date was 6 th April

Polly421 · 15/06/2022 13:43

@Willowoo they should backdate the UC disability element to the date in which your child’s dla started. We received my son backdated amount last week his was backdated to 8th of March so we received 3 months of backdated elements.
