I rang this morning as had no acknowledgement of forms sent on 5th April. They were scanned on 7th, tye advisor said currently working on claims up to 28th Feb

Momof4boyos · 27/04/2022 12:19

I'm still waiting for a decision (forms received 17th February).
Will all these people already been awarded with later dates I'm starting to think mine is bad news :(

Mum1122 · 27/04/2022 12:25

Hi thank you I only sent in The autism report not official diagnosis as still waiting for that the first time round it was just a letter from the school so don’t worry I think you have sent in enough to get a reward

Lisamarie90 · 27/04/2022 12:25

@Momof4boyos I know me too!! I'm on hold to DLA again see if i can get another update. X

Lisamarie90 · 27/04/2022 12:30

@Mum1122 thank you! Mind at ease a little. We don't have a diagnosis yet either. Just such a long process 😪 x

Momof4boyos · 27/04/2022 12:41

@Lisamarie90 I phoned 1st thing this morning. I was told my forms are still with the decision maker.
I am so anxious about it all. No chronological order as to when you get your decision.
Will not phone tomorrow as have a funeral to attend but will try again on Friday.
I'm preparing myself for bad news x

Needanewadventure2021 · 27/04/2022 12:57

So they are working on claims up until 28th Feb?

Now my anxiety has reached maximum levels.

I'm preparing myself for a no. I sent in as much info as I could but things are really just starting for my DS despite things being flagged since he was two. He is now 7. He has plenty of medical notes proving various referalls and concerns throughout his life. School are now involved. I'm not worried about the information I sent as it was clearly indicating observations and concerns and referalls made. But is it enough?

And now they are working claims around when mine was stamped. I'm worrying.

I am trying to prepare myself for a no. But I honestly think a no will devastate me. Especially now things seem to be moving in terms of him being given support

Nicky80catri · 27/04/2022 13:02

Rang today, mines stamped march 18th. They told me its a 12 week wait now. Honestly you get a different person telling you different things. Phoned SEN at school to get some help from then. But i am worried that we will get turned down. My daughter has severe anxiety and possible asd

FishFingerSandwiches4Tea · 27/04/2022 13:13

@Needanewadventure2021 I have a feeling its based on area. West Midlands here so maybe they are looking at claims upto this date and other areas are different? Try not to be disheartened- they look at claims as they get them, I doubt you're made to wait longer if it's a decline, probably just getting to your claim this week.

Lisamarie90 · 27/04/2022 13:20

Think it litterally depends on area your in as I'm southampton. When I called earlier said still working on claims upto 21st Feb. My scan date is 22nd. But then other have heard with a scan date after me. Litterally makes no sense does it. Lol but then I'm guessing on where u live what office it been sent too. @Momof4boyos really hope your hear something soon! X

whitwoochantelle · 27/04/2022 13:21

I'm still waiting west mids and I'm 17th Feb xx

whitwoochantelle · 27/04/2022 14:21

I also had a very rude advisor today who said I shouldn't be calling up to check especially if I didn't have a reference number, he said it's taking 11 weeks for them to be processed and I'd find out shortly. I asked if it was with d/m and he said no. So I questioned why I'd been told it was for him to say oh yes it is. You'll find out maybe today tommrow Friday or next week !!! He told me not to call again but to wait

Lisamarie90 · 27/04/2022 14:35

@whitwoochantelle what an absolute tw*t you had! They shouldn't be speaking to you like that! It's not on 😞 xx

Mum1122 · 27/04/2022 14:56

I would call everyday you get a different person each time so don’t worry I called Monday told not to call for 2 weeks and it was not with the decision maker but called today and they made a decision yesterday.

The acknowledgment letter directs you to call for an update after 8 weeks if you haven't heard. The cheek of him!

Needanewadventure2021 · 27/04/2022 16:06

I've not called. Mostly anxiety but also worried about the reaction you get from the advisor

NoWordForFluffy · 27/04/2022 18:31

I do need to call to update payment details, as I'm changing my bank next week. That feels like tempting fate for rejection, however! (Yes, I'm daft.)

Might just leave it. Any payment will be forwarded anyway!

Needanewadventure2021 · 27/04/2022 21:57

Are there any others with scan dates of 28th Feb who have received a decision yet?

And for everyone who has received their decision. Did your text message arrive before the letter confirming? And do you always get a text and a letter, or just one or the other?

Thank you

3babies22 · 27/04/2022 22:36

I called today scan date 24th feb. He said looking at 9 weeks which we are at now he was very nice said would check if was with decision maker- it wasnt he said it should be done by next week x

Punkypinky · 27/04/2022 22:42

Hi everyone I've been silently following this thread for a while and rooting for everyone waiting. I sent in my claim in Feb was scanned in March and I have a payment of £150 in my bank today. I can only assume it's DLA?? Seems very quick though compared to others on the thread?? I haven't applied for anything else and can't think of another reason I'd be getting direct debited money (though not complaining).

I've had no letter to say it's awarded? Is there usually a delay for that? I can't work out what level it is it doesn't seem to fit with the levels on the website if I divide by 4 (which I assume you do if it's paid every 4 weeks). Any advice appreciated.

Really hope everyone anxiously waiting gets the answers they need soon.

Mum2Two91 · 27/04/2022 22:56

i remember getting an advisor who told me my son “would never be entitled to mobility component unless he had no legs, or his brain made him think he has no legs” I put in a complaint and someone else took over my case, he got awarded his low rate mobility after that. There is no need in how some people talk! Where parents who are fighting for what our children are entitled to, the least these advisors can do is have a heart and treat us with respect!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/04/2022 22:59

@Punkypinky, is that your council tax rebate?

Punkypinky · 27/04/2022 23:07

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy I hadn't thought of that! That would make a lot more sense. I guess I'm still waiting too then. We got a diagnosis the other day (after 4.5 years) how do you go about updating the claim? Is it worth it does anyone know?

Mum1122 · 28/04/2022 07:46

@Needanewadventure2021 I didn’t get any text or letter and mine was rewarded on Tuesday the lady on the phone said payment should be in tomorrow.

Momof2soonmomto3 · 28/04/2022 08:37

To let you know time scales I was awarded Monday for my son and woke up to payment today
