Hope you hear soon. I know when I seen someone had been awarded from 28th I was thinking I shouldn’t be long but not holding out much hope. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks

Hi everyone I've been silently following this thread for a while and rooting for everyone waiting. I sent in my claim in Feb was scanned in March and I have a payment of £150 in my bank today. I can only assume it's DLA?? Seems very quick though compared to others on the thread?? I haven't applied for anything else and can't think of another reason I'd be getting direct debited money (though not complaining).

I've had no letter to say it's awarded? Is there usually a delay for that? I can't work out what level it is it doesn't seem to fit with the levels on the website if I divide by 4 (which I assume you do if it's paid every 4 weeks). Any advice appreciated.

Really hope everyone anxiously waiting gets the answers they need soon.

I'm guessing this might be your council tax rebate?

rghltifndn · 28/04/2022 14:06

I called again today. I call every Thursday and was told that DD’s claim from 10th March to is expected to be look at towards the end of next week with a decision hopefully the following week which by the time I heard would be 9 weeks. Every week I get told something different! Might just stop calling 😂

Dudders88 · 28/04/2022 14:14

Just an update I received a txt earlier saying they’ve decided our child qualifies so I gave them a ring and been awarded lrc and lrm I cried happy tears (thought we would got mrc but don’t think it’s worth risking appealing) just happy we got an award. Keep fingers crossed for everyone still waiting don’t give up. X

Nicky80catri · 28/04/2022 14:43

@rghltifndn hoping mine will be soon then as i am march 18th. Stressing now incase we dont get awarded x

@poppetandmog yep on reflection I think that's what it was. 😊

Wilzo235 · 28/04/2022 15:48

Ive just rang as I was curious the man was lovely he said they are working up to dates 21st of feb and should be 10-12 days for 1st of march

Leaf1216 · 28/04/2022 16:41

Hi all,

I put an application in on March 11th so thanks for this thread so helpful, fingers crossed for everyone🤞

I was told not long yesterday but going on this thread this looks like a few weeks yet

Bizzlemizzle · 28/04/2022 19:40

Hi all!
I am just wanting to jump on the thread to ask does anyone know if the renewal time scales are the same as new claims? This is our first renewal and although I sent it off in good time I'm getting anxious its going to go past our actual end date.

The wait is awful, even though we have had it before still that chance they might turn round and say no, cried last time and will cry again when we get the decision no doubt.

Thank you all.

Leaf1216 · 28/04/2022 20:12

Some one said earlier on in this post maybe page 6 or 7 that it is taking 16-18 weeks for a decision for renewals.

Hopefully no tears for you this time, such a stressful process though.p

Needanewadventure2021 · 28/04/2022 20:12

Are renewals a yearly thing then?

Bizzlemizzle · 28/04/2022 20:30

Needanewadventure2021 · 28/04/2022 20:12

Are renewals a yearly thing then?

We have had to renew ours after 2 years, but it can vary I think some have to renew every 3 or 5 years.

Bizzlemizzle · 28/04/2022 20:33

Thank you, I just had a nosey and that's for change of circumstances, not sure we fall under that. Our current claim runs out in June and they received our claim form 4th of April so I hope it isn't 16 weeks 😂

LilacPoppy · 28/04/2022 22:21

Renewals are always done before they run out providing you send them at least 3 weeks before. Unless you are expecting a higher award there is no befit to sending them earlier.

LilacPoppy · 28/04/2022 22:21

Benefit

Bizzlemizzle · 28/04/2022 22:56

@LilacPoppy thank you! That's what I wasn't sure about as the time frames some are getting bring us really close to our end date. We got the forms at the end of Feb and took some time to fill it all out and then wondered if I had left it too late 😂

LilacPoppy · 28/04/2022 23:01

@Bizzlemizzle no definitely not too late it will be fine. They prioritise award almost running out so don’t be surprised if you don’t get a decision until a week or two before.

Spacemonkey2016 · 29/04/2022 07:21

Just to update as a reassurance to anyone still waiting from around mid Feb: my forms scanned 16th Feb, called last Friday and it still wasn't with a decision maker, but I checked my bank this morning and back pay has gone in, so it must have been awarded earlier this week. I didn't receive a text to confirm. I hope everyone waiting gets their news soon.

Leaf1216 · 29/04/2022 08:23

Great news @Spacemonkey2016 glad the wait is over for you with a positive outcome

Spacemonkey2016 · 29/04/2022 10:06

Thank you, @Leaf1216 . I just called up to find out what he'd been awarded (waiting for a letter seemed too much after this long!) and he has MRC up until Nov 2028, so I feel relieved I won't have to go through this again in the near future. If anyone needs to call today, the wait was very short. My call was answered in about 5 minutes.
