@Mamto2boys I am just passed 8 weeks. Mine was scanned on 18th march. Still heard nothing think they are on the 7th atm x

Twinmummyanda6yearold · 15/05/2022 11:09

@Mamto2boys snap! Exact same dates for letter and everything, I'm just taking it as 8 weeks from the 12th April.. so if I hear anything (I know it's probably going to be a while yet as they're only working on upto 7th March atm) I'll let you know 😊

Mamto2boys · 15/05/2022 11:36

Thanks guys, I too will inform yous on here if I hear anything..

I read somewhere on here about a lady not receiving it for her child and her child sounds a lot similar to mine so I'm now really worried about the outcome. I also don't know whether I should contact them about an update with another possible diagnosis he's undergoing with the pediatrician? All his tests and things have taken literally years and held up by covid, and his only formal diagnosis currently is ASD. He most likely has ADHD but his new school didn't score him high enough on his test to get a proper testing done-which really annoyed me but like I say, new school. There has been talk about pathological demand avoidance? But apparently that's a symptom rather than a diagnoses? Since being a baby he's had sleeping/breathing problems and only now being checked for sleep apnea oas well as something else has his tonsils etc are extremely large but not viral it's grown like that (which do I need to update them with?), he has other behaviours that are extreme which coincide with the rare chromosome disorder that's within my family so now they are also doing genetic testing to see if he has said disorder... all testing, nothing yet formal other than his ASD diagnoses, I didn't even think to send in school or senco or doctor reports but did say to contact me (all the way throughout I made it clear 😅) if they needed anything else because I wasn't sure I they'd take into consideration...

I'm 12 April too (letter on 15 April though).

I doubt I'll call them at all, unless it goes beyond 12 weeks, maybe!

Pixie2015 · 15/05/2022 19:54

My form was received 8-12-21 last week got first payment 😬

Kerrik94 · 15/05/2022 23:39

What I figure out with dla is that working on new claims that ends the 7th of march but existing claims are different times

Kerrik94 · 16/05/2022 10:04

Just rang them and now they saying it with my case worker and that said 3 weeks now but the women on the phone said she put it as emergency so I can get a decision but I’m on my 11 weeks

rghltifndn · 16/05/2022 10:12

I just spoke to them and they have said still working upto 7th March for new claims and he blamed Covid for the delays. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I felt it was ironic as DD and I both have Covid at the moment and I am having to work from home to avoid any issues at work. (I’m a teacher so lesson planning for my supply)

Bluemum87 · 16/05/2022 10:28

Kerrik94 · 16/05/2022 15:33

@Bluemum87 well I just ring tomorrow to see what happening

Ashleee580 · 16/05/2022 17:13

Mine was scanned 3rd of March got a text Friday to say he qualified. Rang them today to see what rate and was told high care and will also be awarded mobility when he turns 3 in October. I wanted middle but thought we'd only get low and I was anxious I was going to have to appeal it. I'm over the moon because I know what difference it will make to my son. Good luck everyone who's still waiting!

Got so much sympathy for this. We just got a diagnosis for my dd after genetic testing. Took 4.5 years. It's so hard when you know something is wrong just not what it is. I hope the tests get you the answers you need xx

Kerrik94 · 16/05/2022 18:51

@Bluemum87 just got a text saying he qualified for dla, I’m so happy

Needanewadventure2021 · 16/05/2022 19:11

Me again. So I have the decline today and there reasons have no link to my claim form. It really feels like they haven't even looked at his claim.

It states they have come to their decision following a telephone call with school. School deny this call has taken place. What the hell do I do?

I am livid! If this call has taken place with school why aren't they saying they steps they have put in place to support and the referalls they've made and the ongoing communication with have about my son

AReallyUsefulEngine · 16/05/2022 19:52

Needanewadventure2021 ask for a mandatory reconsideration. Do you have evidence of support and referrals? While you are doing that make a subject access request to school.

Needanewadventure2021 · 16/05/2022 20:01

The SAR is to get all information held about my DS right?
I sent the GP referral. The ones through school have been verbally through the SENCO. He is currently in therapy which started a few weeks ago. She refused to write a statement but was happy for them to contact and offered her details. I also sent consultants opinions and though I understand it means very little all of his consultants are certain his health referrals are actually due to undiagnosed additional needs. The decline reasons contradict everything I wrote and sent
