My little girls was scanned 3rd March and it's still not passed to a case manager. Also I share 50 50 with her father. Do they contact him or sort the claim through me ? Also due to coercive control in the marriage I was very much against the private assessment as he tries to turn the children against me. In the report I expressed no concerns of autism as I didn't believe it. But in the report she has autism and adhd will this go against the claim?

Amelia891 · 07/05/2022 18:24

Hi all, 28th Feb here, still haven’t heard anything yet. Think I will call next week to try and get an update. Does anyone know if submitting extra info can slow the process down? My DD has had her EHCP finalised now so I have more up to date reports, but unsure whether to send them or just wait for the decision as from reading what others have said above then we should be finding out soon anyway…?

Pmp1315 · 07/05/2022 19:58

Hey!

i have not had anything, but after reading back
through my forms i can understand now why.

i completely rushed them and did not include enough info x

SBParker99 · 08/05/2022 16:24

my daughter has not long been awarded dla middle rate care, sorry to jump on everyone’s thread, ive been following for a while. Has anyone claimed carers allowance lately? if so how long did it take? i’ve never done this before

Magnoliafail · 08/05/2022 16:37

I don’t think it slows things down @Amelia891 . I sent a CAMHS report, by next day delivery. It got there two days before the DLA was awarded, and it says on the award that they used a medical assessment as part of the decision. That was the only proper assessment we had, so I am glad that it did get there in time.

Stina1982 · 08/05/2022 17:29

I have two boys that I have applied for, forms were decided the 23 rd March, two companies different needs. I have heard back for my youngest he has been awarded HRC LRM on 30th April. Backpay hit my account Friday 5th. My other sons is still with the DM! Hope this helps.

Scanner20 · 08/05/2022 19:07

@Stina1982 that was quick, good to hear you've got one decision, fingers crossed for the second. Depends who gets the forms I guess and how fast they work.

Wilzo235 · 09/05/2022 09:14

I have phoned this morning I’m with a decision maker she said phone back wed if I haven’t heard anything. My application was scanned March 1st

Bluemum87 · 09/05/2022 09:48

I called this morning they said there working on 4th march claims and mine will be allocated to a DM sometime this week as mine was scanned 4th march hopefully fingers crossed I don’t have longer now to wait I’m on week 10 now and they said it’s 10 week waiting time frame for your claim to be look at dose any one know how long it takes for a DM to make a decision this is soo stressful

Kerrik94 · 09/05/2022 10:07

Hey, my claim got to them on the 4th of march and I’m still waiting for a decision, call today and they told me it gonna take another 2 weeks but been told last week i will hear this weeks about the decision as they are working on the the week of 4th of march and I’m on my 10th week

3babies22 · 09/05/2022 10:09

My DS is still with DM this morning. It has been with them since wednesday last week. Seems such a long time. Dont feel hopeful at all. :( scan date was 24th Feb x

Uberstar · 09/05/2022 11:33

i was going to ring up today to see where they are up to with my daughters claim. But it’s only been 6 weeks.
I understand it will be backdated but I’m really struggling at the min with the amount I’m spending getting to her hospital appointments.
She is in end stage renal failure and has to have dialysis every night for 10 hours at home, And she’s back and forth to Alder Hey.
I stupidly thought it would only take a few weeks.

MiskaEliska · 09/05/2022 11:34

Hello, little update from us. They received our form on 22nd Feb. We got backpayed on Friday last week and received the letter. Our little one was awarded MRC and from her 3rd birthday HRM as well (she doesn’t walk/stand at all). It was definitely worth the wait. Good luck to everyone. :-)

Amelia891 · 09/05/2022 12:02

Hi All,

Update from me as there seem to be a few people here waiting from end of Feb, our claim was received 28th Feb, called for an update this morning and was told a decision was made on Friday (Middle rate) and a letter and the money should be through by the end of the week. Hope everyone else’s comes in soon x

Bluemum87 · 09/05/2022 12:27

So do you think we will get a decision this week as we’re both are 4th march im going to ring everyday this week as it shouldn’t take another two weeks to make a decision that will means 13 weeks of waiting @Kerrik94 😩😩

Kerrik94 · 09/05/2022 13:09

@Bluemum87 that what I’m thinking of doing because I don’t understand how they are guessing all these times so I’m gonna keep ringing till they tell me a decision

Emma1789 · 09/05/2022 14:51

Mine was scanned 3rd March. Just been given hrc lrm. What extra is uc please. If there care element means tested.

Nicky80catri · 09/05/2022 14:59

@Emma1789 uc severe disabled child element is £414 a month. Carers element is @£163 a month. You will now be exempt from the benefit cap hun. Hope this helps x

Mummy2boys1520 · 09/05/2022 15:45

I'm still waiting on a coc from the 14th December my son currently get hrc and lrm has any one been in same position and been awarded the the higher mobility as it's starting to stress me out now

Ltb17 · 09/05/2022 15:49

@Mummy2boys1520 have you tried calling today, they were working your date last week, or so they said. I'm 16th December, son gets hrc it's a coc because he turned 5 so hoping for lrm.

Mummy2boys1520 · 09/05/2022 15:50

@Ltb17 I'm in hold currently waiting. My sons 7 but can even go anywhere with out him having a complete meltdown to the point police have been called on several occasions because of how bad he is

Ltb17 · 09/05/2022 15:53

@Mummy2boys1520 that's exactly like us for my little boy but they didn't award him hrm, his actual award was only done in October and he turned 5 February. The paediatrician has written a supporting letter because he believes he should be entitled to hrm, but we are still awaiting his diagnosis so I think it's doubtful we would get hrm without it but I'd be very surprised if they don't give him lrm. Fingers crossed yours is done now.

Mummy2boys1520 · 09/05/2022 15:54

@Ltb17 see I'm we are still waiting for a diagnosis also, but we have reports from social workers specialist school and the police so hoping that will help as I can't even get him on a bus

Ltb17 · 09/05/2022 15:58

@Mummy2boys1520 that was their reason for declining me hrm when they done his initial award was because he doesn't have a diagnosis yet, I didn't think it went on diagnosis. My boy is fascinated with buses, watches videos of them all day but won't get on one lol! He ran in front of one last week, thankfully his dad managed to jump in and stop him being hit!

rghltifndn · 09/05/2022 16:00

I ring every couple of days. Going into our 9th week. Today I was told they are working upto 7th March. (We’re 10th) and I should hear by next week.

Changes every time.
