I’m on week 9 and still waiting they said they working on claims from 1st week of march mine was scanned 4th march they did say mines is in a holding que not sure what that means so don’t know if I will get any update as every time I ring it’s a different story 😩

I was told this today. (Scanned 10th Mar) Called again as I suffer terribly with anxiety myself and this wait is driving me insane. I think they must be fed up of me.

Punkypinky · 05/05/2022 18:13

I called the other day because I had more info to send (we actually got a diagnosis!!). They said they were up to 28th Feb. Will be a couple of weeks before mine (scanned in March) goes to the decision maker.

Needanewadventure2021 · 05/05/2022 19:09

When I called the other day I was told they are working claims 1st March. The lady was absolutely lovely and read an email out over the phone that they had been sent saying where they are up to and that the wait time is now 8 weeks. She couldn't understand why mine hadn't been allocated as I'm 28th Feb so said she has flagged it to her supervisor to get it assigned. Looking over the last day or so's comments it seems abit all over the place. So maybe my son's claim is in the ones due to be decided on? I find it really odd how we are all told a variety of things.

I don't know why but now I know a decision 'should be' imminent I'm so nervous. At my end things are finally starting to progress and school is putting in support and has made the referrals required. So I feel he should be successful with his DLA claim. But its in someones hands to decide. I'm praying for good news

Bluemum87 · 06/05/2022 09:28

Monday will be 10 weeks of waiting I’m scared to call them as they mit say still have to wait this is stressful 😩

Ltb17 · 06/05/2022 10:37

Figured on this beautiful day it was the perfect time to wait on hold to see if there's any update on change of circumstances from December, we will see......

Nicky80catri · 06/05/2022 11:03

On the phone to camhs this morning trying to get my dd on the asd assessment waiting list. Do i need to inform dla of this. Hope your all well x

Momof4boyos · 06/05/2022 16:45

I have great news. My son has been awarded DLA (LRM & HRC).
Forms were received 17th February. Decision was made yesterday 5th May.
11 week wait in total.
Good luck to all awaiting decisions x

Nicky80catri · 06/05/2022 16:55

@Momof4boyos congratulations hun thats brilliant news x

rghltifndn · 06/05/2022 17:26

@Momof4boyos that’s great news!

Nicky80catri · 06/05/2022 18:48

Does anyone know of anyone that got awarded for a child with severe anxiety and possible asd. I am getting so stressed about this application. On week 7 the wait is killing me x

TangoApple · 06/05/2022 18:53

@Nicky80catri - I did. On ASD pathway and all main issues are caused by anxiety/sensory overwhelm. We got mid rate care and low rate mobility, waited 11 weeks to be awarded and it was a very stressful time indeed!

Nicky80catri · 06/05/2022 19:11

@TangoApple thanks hun. I have built myself up so much about it all i dont feel positive on the outcome. My dd is 12 and has really bad anxiety. Wont go out alone, trouble sleeping, wont go to bed, trouble at school. Its just getting worse month by month. Shes under camhs x

TangoApple · 06/05/2022 19:19

@Nicky80catri - I convinced myself we wouldn’t get it, even though I knew that my DD requires far more support and supervision than another child of the same age. The CAMHS assessment was the main evidence I sent so if you have that I hope you will be fine and should hear soon.

Ltb17 · 06/05/2022 19:27

@Nicky80catri this is exactly what my sons claim is for, he's 9, his anxiety is terrible, he harms himself, doesn't sleep, has stomach issues due to anxiety and his sensory issues are really bad, labels out on everything, doesn't like sound at all, he has to have emotional support at school and communication cards, the sendco lead helped fill out our form for him but I'm only on week 6 wait time.

Nicky80catri · 06/05/2022 19:32

@Ltb17 i am sorry to hear that hun must be terrible for him. My daughter has stomach issues and sensory issues. The wait is awful.
@TangoApple thanks hun i am hoping the camhs report will be enough. X

Scanner20 · 06/05/2022 20:19

@Nicky80catri my claim is for the same as your dc, it is 7 weeks Monday for me and although I know how much extra care and time my dc needs I still worry it won't be awarded. My dc has been accepted for an asd assessment too which I sent in for extra evidence.

Scanner20 · 06/05/2022 20:22

@TangoApple @Ltb17 you have both helped put my mind at rest knowing that we may be awarded. Hoping the next 2/3 weeks brings some good news

Nicky80catri · 07/05/2022 09:14

@Scanner20 i am glad there are other people that can relate to what we are going through atm. However i dont wish it on anyone. Dd os worrying us loads. So scared she will start self harming. Having to give her a lot more care than we should for a child of her age. We too are 7 weeks in. I want to call them again but holding off now x

Pmp1315 · 07/05/2022 09:20

Hi everyone,

could someone please advise the address to send mandatory reconsiderations to please?

i just dont want to send it to the wrong place and delay the process.

Thanks in advance

Scanner20 · 07/05/2022 09:34

@Nicky80catri fingers crossed for an award in a couple of weeks time. I understand your worries, I really hope your dc doesn't start to self harm. I would hope we don't experience that, my dc is more separation from parents and being in new places or being alone anywhere.
Luckily school are great and although we battled with going in everyday they are helping. It's so new and hard to know I am doing the right thing.

Nicky80catri · 07/05/2022 10:20

@Scanner20 i seriously hope not but having to keep a close eye on her. Yeah my daughter is 12 and wont go anywhere alone. Its all just spiralled since i put the form in x

Needanewadventure2021 · 07/05/2022 12:16

@Pmp1315 sorry to ask but do they give their reasons for an unsuccessful claim? I hope you are successful with your MR

Naomis121 · 07/05/2022 14:45

Anyone have any updated for change of circumstances?

Ltb17 · 07/05/2022 14:49

@Naomis121 what's your date? Mines 16th December, called yesterday and was told they are working upto 15th December so give it another week.

mummyto3littlebeautys · 07/05/2022 15:13
