DLA waiting times 2022

Hi All,

I have ASD 2 years old boy and i sent DLA form for him in 7 dec 2021. But I haven’t received any news yet. How long is usually you get awarded?

The thing is i want to put my son in 2 years old nursery but i’m not eligible for 2 years old funding. I found the nursery that i like and my son can start there after easter but they want funding from the government.

There are another way to get funded by government is via DLA. I need to get the DLA first then i can apply for funding 2 years old in nursery. Do you know how is the process for apply funding 2 years old through DLA route??

Give them a call I received no text or letter mine was stamped 12th January called today and the decision was made yesterday

Is it for new claim? Or change of circumstances seems a long with considering yours isn't much longer after mine I'd call each week if it was me but I have no patience

Mine was received 7th Jan. I rang Friday and it's with decision maker but not heard anything. I'm so tempted to call again but it takes 45 minutes on hold.

Yeah I'd definitely call back it was actually my first time calling i was expecting them to say its with decision maker, they seem to be catching up now don't they

Just called been awarded hcr no mobility it was done last Wednesday so should hopefully have payment tomorrow they said mine was stamped 11th Jan x

Hi I’ve been following this thread- it’s been really helpful. Just wanted to add my dates - our app was scanned on 13 jan - just had call to say successful. So they’ve really picked up the pace recently I think!

Mine was 9 weeks 3 days

Just an update because I said I would 1st payment went into my bank today. Scan date 10th Jan decision date 17th march payment date 22nd march (3 working days)

Thank you @Emma94xx and @Mum2gbg I was also two years first application so wasn't sure if this was the standard length or not x

When I first applied it, was for 5 years until she was 7. but we did a change of circumstances and they have awarded until 2028 so 6 years xx

Does anyone know how I add my daughters Dla onto my universal credit account

Yes I was told the same 18 weeks

Is it 18 weeks from when they received it or from when I called up to ask for change of circumstances form does anyone know? Thanks
