Hi All,

I have ASD 2 years old boy and i sent DLA form for him in 7 dec 2021. But I haven’t received any news yet. How long is usually you get awarded?

The thing is i want to put my son in 2 years old nursery but i’m not eligible for 2 years old funding. I found the nursery that i like and my son can start there after easter but they want funding from the government.

There are another way to get funded by government is via DLA. I need to get the DLA first then i can apply for funding 2 years old in nursery. Do you know how is the process for apply funding 2 years old through DLA route??

Thank you

I just called them and still no decisionConfused it's been 14 weeks today...

Emma94xx · 18/03/2022 09:33

It's so confusing how you've waited that long when some from January have been awarded they received mine 12th January I said 12th December in previous posts I think I still have baby brain 🤣🤣 but I've had no news yet

Mum2gbg · 18/03/2022 09:41

@Meganos have they said what's taking so long are they waiting for something? Is it a new claim? Heard coc is taking longer x

PuddlePip · 18/03/2022 10:20

Thanks @Imitatingdory :)

Tinkerbellone · 18/03/2022 12:55

Hi I've just called them. They're working from 5th to 11th. Apparently mine is now with the decision maker (it was received on 7th) and she estimates it should be another two weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️

Emzi89 · 18/03/2022 12:59

I rang this morning (stamped 17th December 21) after sending extra evidence on Monday this week. She said it hasn't been scanned yet and to ring again end of next week.
Good luck to all still waiting 🤞😊

Mum2gbg · 18/03/2022 13:24

Just to update you all I called today and decision was made yesterday that my son qualifies. Scan date 10th Jan and was with decision maker 4 days before decision was made hopefully that helps. Hope you all hear soon

Tinkerbellone · 18/03/2022 13:30

@Mum2gbg so pleased for you. That's positive news for me! So hopefully shouldn't be long now. They had no news when I called on Monday. Maybe I will give it four days and call next Friday xx

Toritot1984 · 18/03/2022 13:34

@Mum2gbg that’s great, I’m too scared to ring them again I have a bad feeling

Plowman11 · 18/03/2022 14:02

@Mum2gbg oh that’s great news did they tell you over the phone what is being awarded? I’m the 11th so I might call did she say how long you have to wait for the first payment? X

Mum2gbg · 18/03/2022 14:03

@Tinkerbellone Iv heard they are working weekends too to catch up with backlog so maybe sooner than Friday for you

@Toritot1984 I'm sure it will be fine but at least you would know either way the wait is so stressful

Toritot1984 · 18/03/2022 14:46

I bit the bullet and rang them and we’ve been awarded hrc lrm I’m so glad the wait is over

Hams12459 · 18/03/2022 16:28

Hi all I have asked them to reconsider the mobility as dd was rejected for that but accepted for the care.... although the care is due to mobility. Yes... still baffles me also..Can I please ask has anyone here had to do this or know of a post I can join? Had a look but can't find one. Thank you

rghltifndn · 18/03/2022 18:38

Hi, how do you know when it was scanned? I received a letter today saying that my daughter’s form was received on 10th March and if I don’t hear back by 8 weeks to feel free to get in touch.

2boysgirls · 18/03/2022 18:56

Hi, my form was received January 24th so I'm probably looking at about mid April for a decision. But worried I didn't send enough evidence as my son hasn't been diagnosed. Can you please let me know what evidence you have sent those that have been accepted. I've sent a report from his class teacher as he is 9 and also my doctor aswell which both are willing to back me up if they are contacted.

Toritot1984 · 18/03/2022 18:57

It was scanned 10th march your 8 weeks starts from that day

rghltifndn · 18/03/2022 19:27

Thank you

Imitatingdory · 18/03/2022 19:58

Hams if you didn’t use the Cerebra guide when completing the form it is worth looking at it.

Reyma · 18/03/2022 20:35

Hi there,
I am I receipt of Universal Credit. However, I have applied for DLA for my two kids and I have been waiting for some weeks. Today I have received messages from UC that I have to provide the Proof of my ID, proof of address, proof of Tenancy agreement and three month bank statements. Does this has something to do with the DLA application?! Has anyone been asked of these thing on their UC. Please I need your insight on this.
Thank you.

Meganos · 18/03/2022 21:07

It's nothing to do with claiming dla

Tinkerbellone · 18/03/2022 22:36

Hey @Reyma
I have recently claimed UC and had to supply all those details. I was able to upload them on my online journal. It took ages 🤦🏼‍♀️ I submitted it all 26th December and my first payment was 1st Feb. Xx
