DLA waiting times 2022

Hi All,

I have ASD 2 years old boy and i sent DLA form for him in 7 dec 2021. But I haven’t received any news yet. How long is usually you get awarded?

The thing is i want to put my son in 2 years old nursery but i’m not eligible for 2 years old funding. I found the nursery that i like and my son can start there after easter but they want funding from the government.

There are another way to get funded by government is via DLA. I need to get the DLA first then i can apply for funding 2 years old in nursery. Do you know how is the process for apply funding 2 years old through DLA route??

I just rang Dla, they received my form on the 10th January and it’s still not been looked at. He said possibly 7-10 days before it gets sorted

Our form was stamped 23/12 and I received a payment this morning, no text or letter yet though!

We’re 23/12 here and was told Tuesday it was with decision maker. Nothing yet.

No worries, its stressing me out waiting and then to get told it’s not even been looked at yet made me more stressed x

@numsmet0 I was told the same on Tuesday and advised that I should have an outcome by today, and to call today if I hadn't heard anything. Might be worth giving them a call?

Hi everyone glad to have found a thread for 2022. I'm just wondering when did you recieve confirmation that they'd received your forms? I sent ds forms back about 3 weeks ago and haven't received a text or letter to say they've been received. Shall I call? 🙃 x

You cal call to check and they will tell you. But it's a long hold time.

I didn't receive a letter until feb but they received it December 31st.

So letters are taking a long time to be received.

I just rang and they are on 31st December as that's when mine was received and it's with the decision maker.

God that's been a long old wait hasn't it,

@Helpimfalling yes painful long wait. Our first time, phoned 3 times and last was Tuesday. Really don’t have the energy for another it’s still not been dealt with. As far as I know it’s with the decision maker now. Someone above has said theirs has been with the decision maker for 3 weeks so I’m not expecting it anytime soon.

How long has yours been ?

It's only been with them since today.
I rang today and they said it was with them as of today.

She said I should hear by Monday.... or Tuesday which don't make sense as you guys been waiting ages.

I had a letter on the 2nd January to say they received it on the 23rd as I sent it on the 20th Dec. They only sent the letter because I phoned to make sure they had it. I also read you should ask for a letter as proof you sent it and that they received it. Then I got another letter saying sorry for the wait on the 9th feb. Then I phoned 14th feb and they said still waiting and then I phoned Tuesday and she said decision maker. Hope your wait isn’t as long. It’s really frustrating to not know as then you have to appeal and wait longer if they say no.

Mine was sent on 29 Dec, stamped 5 Jan. a straight renewal which was sent with about 80 pages of supporting paperwork. Decision was made 2 March, which decision was to renew as before. So about as straightforward as it could be.

I also got the blue badge renewed without it after a very helpful call with the council about how to fill the form in. They told me Blue badge teams getting used to people who qualify for DLA not having the paperwork due to the delays. Again that helped that it was a renewal.

23/12 here and I have in and phoned today and decision made and awarded.

Yes they had done it on Tuesday. Not sure when payment comes from here but hoping they will honour the date it was received and back date.

Scanned 13th december dont have any decision yet. I called then everyday and its still in decision maker. I’m so worried why everyone after me already being awarded and i dont have any news yet

@NRRK28 mine was stamped 17th December and I've heard nothing either! When I ring I just get told at least another 3 weeks, I've not even been told it's with a decision maker so....🤷‍♀️
