Does anyone know if a payment is made on the date the DLA expires? So if it expires on the 30th August , will I get the final payment on the 30th August, or was the payment 4 weeks previous to that the final payment?

NeverSurrender · 19/08/2021 14:10

So I should've received on the 31st August if the claim wasn't expired, but it expires on 30th August. Hope that makes sense!

Lhmym · 19/08/2021 14:15

Mumof1girland1boy · 19/08/2021 14:55

I've just phoned to be told its taking them 10 weeks to make a decision I'm on week 7 at the minute.

Mummyto2boys22 · 19/08/2021 14:58

I think it depends where you live and which office you send it to I think they all have different waiting times

Lhmym · 19/08/2021 15:01

@Mummyto2boys22 Wolverhampton mines gone to I live in Manchester but other day Blackpool answerd phone

Mumof1girland1boy · 19/08/2021 15:31

Ok

Lraf1234 · 19/08/2021 15:53

Ive just called then up after trying to get through to them for an hour and a half 🤦🏼‍♀️ And the woman said it’s still in the holding que! Will be 8 weeks next Thursday. How long have people had to wait for theirs to be finalised after it being in the air? X

Lraf1234 · 19/08/2021 15:57

Que not air x

Furbymc88 · 19/08/2021 16:02

@Lraf1234 we waited almost 18 weeks from the receiving form til decision made

Furbymc88 · 19/08/2021 16:09

And that’s 18 weeks with my phone call, no official text or decision letter through yet so if waiting on the letter to arrive that’ll be 19 weeks

Mumof2girlys · 19/08/2021 16:32

@Lhmym I called about 3pm no decision yet will call again tomorrow so frustrating waiting x

Mummy2boys1520 · 19/08/2021 16:57

I’m still waiting, will be 8 weeks on Monday. Spoke to a lady today and she said to call back on Monday if I don’t here anything I’m hoping I will hear soon. I sent a report from our family support work had to get them to attach it to claim as it hadn’t been scanned onto his claim yet even tho it was signed for on the 26th July so hopefully it has all be put together ready for the decision maker

Lraf1234 · 19/08/2021 18:01

Also I’m confused.. so you can only get mobility if they are over the age of 5? Or can they get mobility if they get high care rate and under 5? X

Mummy2boys1520 · 19/08/2021 18:04

For the low rate mobility component they must be aged over five, and for the high rate mobility component they must be aged over three. Hope that helps

So I think if they are entitled to the higher rate they must be over the age of 3 but if they don't and they only qualify for the lower they have to be over five. Well that's how I understand it anyways
Lraf1234 · 19/08/2021 22:23

Thanks girls x

Mummyto2boys22 · 19/08/2021 23:02

So my 8 weeks is up on Monday and I’ve had no letter to say they need more info is that a good sign? First time claim so I’m new to this

Im the same, all I have had is a letter to say they received it on the 28th June, nothing else. So I'm guessing it just waiting game. But I called today and it hasn't even gone to the decision maker yet. Ive been told to call back on Monday when it's been 8 weeks
