Waiting times for DLA for new claim 2021

Hi the DLA received my claim on the 1st April 21. Does anyone know the current waiting times. Thanks

twopetals they received my claim on June 7th and I received a letter on the 15th saying they had received.
Nothing since.I called yesterday but couldn't get through for half an hour so gave up.
Really hoping for a txt or letter soon!

Longest i waited for them to answer was 56 mins i just left phone on loud speaker while i was cleaning lol.

Hi everyone, I've just got off the phone with DLA, they recieved my claim on the 12th of July so I'm just over 8 weeks, my son has been awarded the middle care rate, I'm so relieved. He said they issued the back payment yesterday, he's 3 years old so he doesn't qualify for the mobility just yet, but yeah I'm just happy with that outcome ☺ xx

I called up last week, we was awarded on the 26th august, but had to have a random check with the decision markers manager to make sure everything was correct so had to wait longer, I was back paid 8 weeks but would be 10 weeks tomorrow so didn’t know if it would have been from the date we was awarded x

is it a 2 week wait from being awarded to payments starting? I'm new to all this so don't know how it works my son was awarded on the 6th I'm still waiting on a text message i may not get one as i didn't get a letter or text when they received it either

@mumof5babies are they backdating from the time you called ? Xx

That's good misses you'll get all it backdated xx I'm having a tough day i was told by the pediatrician I was getting melatonin for my daughter and was to wait a week for the letter the doctor just called saying that I've to follow the sleepscotland plan before been prescribed it I'm now on call to pediatricians secretary trying to figure out why she would say that then change it I've already told dla about it now I'm not sure there given me it now 😔xx

Oh I'm not sure when the payments will start for us, he said there's a letter in the post so I'm guessing all the details will be in there. I never received a text either. He said the back payment was issued yesterday and can take 3-5 days to come through xx

She said on the phone something about a first payment 13th of october I'm just assuming that will be the first one after the backdated one x

@mumof5babies that sounds about right then, 4 weeks after the back payment. Have you had your back payment yet? Xx

No hun they only awarded it monday i thought maybe couple of weeks before that comes through xx

@Mumof5babies he told me I was awarded on Monday too but the back payment was issued yesterday, maybe yours was too xx

God knows hun she didn't say about anything been issued just that it would be back dated to 2nd june just assumed with the next one being 13th oct it would be 4 weeks before that one maybe next week sometime xx

Yeah she did say I'd get a letter in the next couple of weeks. Just glad the worst is over with now. Hope everyone gets good news soon they're doing 2nd week of july now so shouldn't be too long xx

I got my daughters award on Monday too (6th) and the guy on the phone said the backdated payment was processed same day and that I should get it the same time next week so next week on Monday, maybe even possibly on Friday. And he said my next payments will always be on a Tuesday and the first one will be Oct 5th so I think every 4 weeks from when awarded x

God knows lol I'll just wait for the letter and see I've not had a text or anything about award yet so don't think everyone gets them. Just told rate and should get payment soon
