Waiting times for DLA for new claim 2021

Hi the DLA received my claim on the 1st April 21. Does anyone know the current waiting times. Thanks

Mine was received on 8th of July, and I was told on the phone that it was with the decision maker on 24th and that I’d get a decision in 6 weeks... not sure if that means the dm is looking at it for 6 weeks or maybe they are writing to my daughters paed

Hi lovelies I asked about my forms not being tracked as delivered just wondering how long after posting were they scanned as recieved just really hoping the postman hasn't scanned them and they are there x

With any luck you will hear soon it's good there looking at it though I would phone up every few days just to see because the post is a bit delayed and you may find that a decision has been made since the letter was posted 🙂

@Midlandsmum23 I received the same. I called them today and still in the holding queue awaiting to be allocated. It doesn’t seem they’re doing things in order :/
I am so annoyed that it appears others get a decision before the 8weeks. And I’m left until after. I doubt it will get allocated tomorrow and de idiom made tomorrow.

@Boof23 mine was sent on 28th signed for by dwp on 29th x

@Ems1991, hopefully not too much longer. We've had 2 apps this week, travelling and food cost £60,and a shift off my work, so hopefully it won't be too much longer. X

@boof23, think mine took about 2 weeks once posted and scanned onto there's. X

It's a lot of work @edsgirl you definitely need the extra money for thing like appointments and extra food for them and extra clothes it's really expensive I just hope one day the will stop making us wait for the help my little one is 3 and she's only eats certain foods and there times your going through 5 meals trying to get her to eat one it's a shame and I can only try to make it fun she's is non verbal and doesn't understand what I'm saying yet hopefully we will hear back soon x

@Edsgirl I would definitely call them that was a week ago ,they have probably made a decision by now and keep checking your bank as royal mail is delayed x

Sorry everyone just in from work, @Ems1991, Evans 12 he's only verbal in the house,with his dad and I and older brother, wears the same clothes day in day out, prob eats about 20 different foods. X lovely boy so proud of him, would love everyone to see the Evan I see. X

I phoned again today received they received mine on 6th of July every time I phone they say it's with the decision maker but has been with them for time and I have been told to phone back in 10 days and that will take it well over the 8 weeks x

Has anybody heard about there claims from the beginning of July yet.

Hi I haven't heard nothing I phoned yesterday mine is the 6th of july thought I would of well heard by now but when I phoned they told me to call back in a week to 10 days x

Same day as me so, could be 2 more weeks.

Has anyone applied for carers allowance recently and received it, how long did it take from applying to receiving?

I've not applied for it as on universal credit it gets took £1 for £1 as earnings so I'm getting the carers and disability element with them instead x

Does anyone know if they contact school ect once its with decision maker? Or does all that info get collected before hand?

I called again today, my claim that was received on 28th June was accepted yesterday for MRC, without diagnosis just a letter from the school. Over the moon as I can now focus on his further care without the stress of losing our household income. Thank you everyone for your advice as I will be taking this all further

I applied for my son they got my forms on the 8th july i sent special delivery they were scanned in on the system on the 9th july i only know as i rang at week 4 to make sure they got them. I've not had a letter or a text message to say they've received the forms as yet and they've had them 7 weeks and 1 day now. Anyone else not received confirmation of receipt or just me? Thanks

Mine were received on 8th July and I didn’t get any letters or texts to confirm so I rang after 3 weeks and they said yes it was given to dm on 24th of July and you’ll get a decision in 6 weeks x
